Surf City IGA

Such a great island store! Everything I needed was here. Easy to find. Easy in and out. I was surprised prices were so good. Staff was super friendly. Great selection of wines, beer selection, some craft beers. Great place to pick up pre-made sandwiches and snack/veggie trays. Pet food, bbq supplies, toiletries, just about everything.

I love this gift shop!!! It has cute dresses and t shirts. Great selection of local authors and books on history of surf city and folklore. It also has pretty jewelry that won't break the bank!!😊 When I go to Topsail/Surf City this is my first stop. The grocery store part has your basic groceries.

Provided items that I needed at the spur of the moment when visiting Surf City Beach for the day. On our Beach Trip for the day we packed sandwiches, condiments, snack foods for lunch. We thought we planned for enough food for our lunch but apparently we didn’t. Being new to the area I went searching for a grocery store and found this IGA … I purchased the items that we needed and everyone was happy and fed. Yes!

Had all the snacks, drinks and other stuff we needed for our too short stay in Surf City. Best of all, the people there are so nice and helpful. Great place!

The island is really lucky to have this here. It is very convenient to have so much so close by. They may not have everything but it can save a trip over the bridge. Good local places are always a plus. The parking is a little tricky but a little patience will out.

So nice to have this store close to us for something we need.

Look... This IGA is old. It's clearly seen some things, it's got some scars, it isn't the prettiest... but it's always there for you and reliable when you forgot something on your trip out to the island. This place has who know how many beach goers running through it with sandy flip-flops on a given day but still stands strong and is clean.

The staff is always nice. The prices are reasonable. Most items are very close in price to the big guys on the mainland. I wouldn't say to go here for a whole weeks of shopping, but if you need a handful of things and want to get back to the fun, then this is your spot. You'll waste half your vacation in line at the Walmart and the parking at the Publix is a nightmare just to get into an out of stock crowded mess.

There isn't going to be 37 different options for peanut butter here, but it's going to have everything you need to keep your vacation going strong. These last few years of trips down I've seen a solid increase in options they carry too... You can tell they are constantly working to improve.

What a great little grocery store. My brother and I must have stopped here at least once per day while at the beach for something we needed... and they had it all.

I'm shocked this store wasn't more crowded. It's easy to get to, easy parking, nice variety, helpful and friendly staff, and great prices.

I love this gorgeous place, it never ceases to amaze me. Always clean and beautiful, alot to do. Ward reality has many beautiful houses to rent, I have been in 4 , they are all well kept and clean with wifi. Everyone should come here, private beach , pristine beaches. Great stores for gifts, and candy, one of the best candy stores I have ever seen , kid friendly, and fun for whole family, even ppl bring pets, they love to walk the beach. Next vacation remember ward reality.

Just a little more expensive than the big name grocery stores across the bridge but clean, friendly staff and a big enough variety to satisfy anyone without fighting traffic

Convenient spot on the island to get the essential groceries and such, prices are slightly higher than most places but you have to factor in the location of this store. Nice cashiers too!

This little store has the BEST meat department! We always get our meat here. Steaks, pork chops, ground beef -- better than anything, even back home. They even cut a few more ribeyes for us when we needed more. Their prices are fair, considering you are paying for the convenience. Great beach atmosphere and the cashiers are so friendly. With the new bridge it may actually be easier to get in and out of the parking lot!

Some of the prices are a little higher, but it is the price of convenience. Main grocery on the Island aside from a couple convenience stores and an organic market. Meats are always fresh! If you take your time and look about you will find some really good deals....hence why I stop through a couple times a week after dropping family off to work. Folks that work here are always kind and courteous. Very patient with my youngest child, who is quite the rowdy one due to sensory issues.

This little spot has most everything you need right on the island, and the clerks are all very friendly and helpful.

Nice local store, friendly service, almost everything is very reasonably priced including meat and seafood, normal grocery and produce. Milk and beer is a bit pricey but can't win them all. Didn't buy bread so not sure about those prices. Very convenient if you are on this island.
