I really enjoy this little gem of Durham. They have a great selection of European olive oil as well as a great variety of balsamic vinegar. These make great Christmas/birthday gifts! I love trying a new flavor every time, but the pomegranate white balsamic vinegar is to die for! I recommend mixing it with some olive oil as a simple but delicious salad dressing. Bonus: You can clean the glass bottle and bring it to get a nice discount for your new bottle, no bottles wasted & yay sustainability! That is not all. Soup mixes, specialty pasta, candy, local honey/jam... It is one of my favorite local places and my first go-to if I need a quick gift. I love that they are always nice and helpful, great customer service. Don’t forget to try their local honey, you won’t regret!!

Excellent shop! I love the oils and vinegars and other special buys. The owner is a lovely woman and is very helpful and knowledgeable. I buy new offerings and old favorites. Bull City Olive Oil is the best! Once you've tried their specialty oils and vinegars, you'll be spoiled for life. There's a tremendous selection of dark and white vinegars and olive oils, and the hard part is just deciding which ones to choose! Their products make super gifts, and as a Realtor, I use them often as closing gifts with clients. It's a wonderful alternative to bringing a bottle of wine to someone's home as well. Memorable, long-lasting, and delicious. The store is bright and easily accessible, and Julie the owner can customize gifts for you as well. Highly recommend.

I stopped in this week for my first visit to Bull City Olive Oil. It was thoroughly enjoyable! Julie Steinhauer took time to introduce me to her wide selection of high-quality, delicious balsamic vinegars and olive oils. Everything I sampled was excellent, and it was hard to walk out of the store without buying everything in sight. Julie's friendliness, knowledge, and eagerness to deliver excellent customer service are definitely the reason why I will be a repeat customer. I just wish that I had gone to Bull City Olive Oil sooner!

I love shopping at Bull City Olive Oil!! I have made several balsamic vinegars and oils a staple in my kitchen...It seems every season I find a new favorite. Currently the Lemongrass with Mint Balsamic is my go-to for dressing our salads; leafy green and more substantial ones with beans and grains. And Julie and her staff are the best!!

Julie is wonderful - very knowledgeable, helpful, generous hearted and responsive. I have not had the olive oil, but I have had a number of the Balsamic vinegars and I can attest that you cannot go wrong! Pick any one of them -- or, really, three or four -- and you will love them! I use them on salads, on Bruschetta, on baked potatoes -- The combinations of flavors are simply amazing! I've never seen anything like them anywhere else. And working with Julie makes it all even better!

I had a client visiting the Durham area for a conference and Bull City Olive Oil, made the best gift basket ever! My client loved it!! The best part of my experience was buying it from Julie over the phone since I wasn't in town. What a wonderful curator, she walked me through what she thought we should put in the basket and asking all the right questions. Then she texted me a picture to make sure I loved it too. Love Bull City Olive Oil - and Julie! Not only are the vinegars (we've tried and used many) delicious but Julie is a resource of recipes to use with her oils and vinegars! While we've used curbside pick-up during the pandemic, can't wait to visit the store and do a 'tasting tour' of the goodies! Beautiful gifts, as well.

So many delicious things packed in to this store. I went in for the peach balsamic vinegar after seeing it featured in a cocktail, but walked out with much more. The espresso balsamic vinegar is now my go to. I admit it, I scoffed at flavor infused olive oil. How much of a difference could that make? Yeah, I was wrong. The knowledgeable staff guided me through a couple of combinations and I was hooked. I’d say that the vinegar and olive oil would make a great gift, but the “gift” I purchase ended up being consumed at my house. Sorry not sorry.

This is a lovely shop offering far more than simple olive oil its name implies. Not only do they have an amazing variety of olive oils and specialty vinegars to add some zing and depth of flavor to your pandemic limited cooking, there are all sort of cooking, baking items and specialty treats. The proprietress of this shop helped me meet all my holidays shopping goals of giving people unique and useful gifts they could really use. There are even simple baking kits that kids can easily make for the family so no one is left out. Support local and give this shop a try- many of her products are local specialties. Mother's day is coming up....

For those of you who haven't visited Bull City Olive Oil, I highly recommend visiting! Not only do they have a ton of varieties of oils and vinegars, they have gifts, oyster dishes and snacks. We do a lot of our holiday shopping here! If you get a chance to chat with Julie, ask her about some of the fun recipes and uses for the oils and vinegars!

Hands down one of the best stores in the Triangle. Julie is just wonderful to chat with about food, olive oil, and full of great ideas and recommendations. And it goes without saying that her oils and vinegars are truly outstanding. We've been really enjoying her favorite Spanish EVOO and a fig balsamic vinaigrette as our basic salad dressing.

This store is fantastic. My husband and I go in ahead of every holiday and trip to see our families. The olive oils and vinegars are delicious, and you can sample them to find your favorite. We love the baklouti green olive oil on popcorn, bread, Indian dishes, and salad. The white vinegars are fab for salad dressings. Julie, the owner, has great recommendations for using all of the products in recipes, including cocktails. We’re having mules with the honey ginger balsamic at her recommendation. Cheers!

We live in the Charlotte area but visit family in Durham regularly in normal times. COVID has eliminated those trips, and visits to Bull City Olive Oil. So Julie has been shipping to our home. Believe it or not, there is no good source of fresh, truly virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar in our area, so we've been buying from Julie for several years. The bottles are always extremely well packed and all of her products are top quality. We were so impressed with the shipping package that we saved it to send more "potent" liquids to others on our Christmas list.

This is by far our favorite shop in Durham! We love the variety of olive oils available as well as the great selection of local products (makes for great gifts for our family and friends back home). The owner, Julie, is wonderful!
