The employees of Dwyer are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are very customer oriented and have always gone the extra mile without hesitation. They are truly artisans of woodworking. I have no doubt they can complete any job you have for them with swift and precise results

As a "Hobbyist" wood worker who for years had to travel over two hours to find good quality rough hardwood, this place is a god send. I am still shocked that I can get A+ quality domestic hardwood only 15 minutes from my house in West Kingston. Although primarily geared twords contractors, I was amazed when I visited for the first time and one of the owners showed me to the lumber rack and said PLEASE take your time and look through the stacks to find exactly what you need and come get me when you are ready to load up. He left me alone for almost an hour to pull out every board in the rack and select just the right ones for my project. (now I must admit that every time I do this I employ the philosophy that you should leave the rack as good or better than you found it - this is not Home Depot ). After many purchases now from Dwyer hardwood I can honestly say I am on a first name basis with the owners and office manager and they have become my exclusive source for all my project wood. One final remark - dont worry at all if you only need one or two boards, Kyle and his team are just as interested and supportive to help you find the right stock regardless of the quantity - big or small. The last time I went there he actually broke down a single 12' maple board to 8' and sold me that alone.

I build weird birdhouses and random pieces of furniture with reclaimed and 'upcycled' wood and other bits. These guys had everything I needed. At last trip, I picked up some heart pine that used to be in a Kentucky factory and pieces of mahogany crates they came across in an old warehouse in Boston.

Sometimes I go there knowing what I need, but more often than not, they have something there that inspires. It helps that they're local too and a great bunch of people.

Great place for quality stock. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I drive 40 miles to come here just for their stock. What a gem of a place with great pricing might I add.
