Gordon Food Service Store

This place is amazing for bulk and non bulk food .
They had everything in perfect quantities for our taco bar . We used there website for ideas of food types and we choose tye taco bar, they listed everything needed and it came out perfectly the right amount.

If you're familiar with this company, they deliver to restaurants as a food service company. Buying in bulk here is a good idea if that's what you are in to. Some prices are higher for single items but others are much better for bulk. Went today on their grand opening. Very nice and well organized of course.

This is a bulk grocery store that has some tasty products. This store is basically a combination of a Sam’s or Costco with a small grocery store. You do not need a card or membership for this store. They have a lot of bulk products and some regular sized ones. The size of the store is about the size of a neighborhood Walmart.
They had some good looking products and I also got to try a few through samples. They also had some bulk favorites like Bluebell Ice Cream.

Today was opening day, and when I first walked in I was given some samples. The first was some guacamole which was good guacamole, the avocados were ripe and it was seasoned well with tomatoes and onions. Next, they had some chicken salad which was a bit chunky but pretty good. I was also given some caramel and cheese popcorn from their gourmet popcorn and it was really good, especially the caramel popcorn. Lastly was the fresh orange juice.

I ended up coming home with some green apple popcorn corn to try, but it is important to note for those with celiac disease or a gluten allergy that the store’s gourmet popcorn is currently not guaranteed to be gluten free.

Overall this is a nice new store and I look forward to seeing it more in the future.

Brand new! A great place to get bulk party supplies, meats and cheeses. Good produce! Easy to run in a grab small items as well as deserts and pre-made frozen casseroles! Super price on bacon!

We love their jalapenos in a jar. They are hot and firm, not mushy like other brands.

We can also buy Cholula in a big jar so it's cheaper to refill a smaller bottle.

Their 3 lb bag of thick sliced bacon is very good and the price is $8.99.

A welcome new store for bulk and regular supplies at a pretty good price.

your popcorn lady is the best. She always has some great samples and they are never less than great! Keep up the super job!

I like shopping no frills no bags for your groceries but they got boxes if you need one the prices are right and if you need something in bulk that's the best place to go but if you're just picking up something for the home really quick it's also a good place to go and you don't need to subscribe to anything

if you get a chance meet their store manager Mike. he is one of the best anyplace. just the real deal!

clean place. friendly staff. pricing is odd. in general bulks are cheaper than grocery chains - but many items more expensive. their lunch meats great ans nearly 1/3 the cost of the competition. so go for bulks and other fun treats but know your pricing. i’ll be back

Yes some things are more expensive but some of these reviews are dramatic. They have everything for everyone here. The cokes are most definitely not $82

I went in today for the first time. It is a bizarre little place. It is a combo of a restaurant depot, Costco, and a grocery store. They didn't have what I needed. It was a niche industry item. I bumped into who I felt was the GM. Super nice guy. Helped me find what I need somewhere else. Also, he said he would look into bringing in the product. He told me a little about the company. I hope this location does well. The place was absolutely spotless, and the produce quality was fantastic.

I gave them 5 stars because the store is clean, the staff is great, and as a former Chef, I can find things here I can’t find in regular grocery stores. Yes, the prices are higher on all the canned goods, etc.. They do have decent sales, but not store wide. Gordon’s isn’t really for the every day shopper. It’s more for buying restaurant grade products. I’ve tried several of their brand items and have been pleasantly pleased! Super tasty! Pulled pork in a can?? Never would I ever… but theirs is delish!? If you think of it as a specialty store and not a grocery store, you can come away with some really good stuff!

Store was exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Manager came out to greet us.

Love this place. I only wish that they would carry more Mean Bean Monster, that stuff is so good.

Love GFS, it is a northern thing. Their prices are not competitive yet because they just opened and are figuring it out. The staff have been awesome. They helped me find what I was looking for. The store is for when you need large restaurant quality food without paying a membership. This store is awesome for your party needs fundraisers, and large gatherings. When they run sales, they run great sales! Best for large family's. Keep an eye on this place it will get better. Gfs has been in Houston for a long time but only delivered to restaurants and organizations. This store is for the public.

Just shopped here. Prices are comparable to most supermarkets. I did find some deals like a bag of drum sticks for 2 bucks! The staff was friendly. I had a good time. Going home to grill these 8 dollar ribeyes for quality check.

It's nice having this store close by when our restaurant needs last minute items.

Being from Michigan we're so excited to have GFS here in Texas now. Great selection of food, vegetables are fresh, and the deli offers a lot of ready to eat food. Super clean store and the workers are very friendly and helpful. Welcome to Texas GFS! ❤
