Ridgebury Gourmet

I was visiting family for a few days and got to try out Ridgebury Gourmet. I came back every single day while I was there. I am French and it was impossible for me to find authentic French food not just in the region but in the US (including fine dining restaurants) until I found this gem. I am really impressed by what comes out of Chef Pierrel’s kitchen.

The taste is delicious, the ingredients are fresh and sourced locally or imported from France, the portions are good and the price is reasonable. The menu seems to change depending on the season. The French chef not only does great-tasting dishes, but also amazing pastry and desserts too! The chocolatine croissant and French baguette remind me of bakeries in France. The crème brûlée, chocolate mousse and pear tart (with frangipane aka almond paste) are all amazing too! The soups are so flavorful and natural. On top of that, the chef is very nice and has a great sense of humor.

It is a take-out place (although I’ve seen a table outside and a small bar/counter with stools inside next to the coffee area). Everything (besides the pastry and desserts) are made right away once ordered so it’s best to call prior to coming. I wish I was living nearby so I could come often, I will definitely come back when I’m in the area!

Traditional French cooking by an elderly French couple. You can taste the passion in the food. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Amazing meals and reasonable prices with the exceptional service!

This place has some of the best, tastiest, and freshest food I’ve ever had. And I don’t say that lightly I have a very high standard for quality food. Most of all , he is priced reasonably. He is a one man operation, but it is worth the wait!!! I come here with my girlfriend on her lunch break and ever single time we are wowed.!!!!!!!!!

Best off the beaten path find! The owner is so cute with such a big personality, his food is delicious and you can tell it’s made with love! Can’t beat the price either. Will definitely be back!

I have bought breakfast at Ridgebury Gourmet several times in the last couple months.
It’s been delicious every time.
I recommend the croissant with egg and ham.
I only drink decaf coffee & they always have a container of decaf coffee available and it’s DELICIOUS!
There are always a selection of baked goods. Most have been great. Sometimes I choose something that’s not for me, but my husband has always eaten whatever it’s been and liked it.
The one thing I would change is that customers should be able to tip when paying by card or Apple Pay.
Remember to call ahead with your order so it’s ready when you arrive.
REMEMBER to park in back in the parking lot and enter from there, in the back of the building.

The Ridgebury Gourmet catered my sons’s first birthday. It was absolutely delicious. Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans cooked perfectly. Everyone had empty plates including my son!

Christian also makes the most delicious handcrafted desserts and pastries, I go in for one portion of the tart and end up buying the whole tart! Creme Brûlée made from scratch, all available to go. It’s hard to not over indulge every time I go in!

My husband and I bought the jambalaya it was delicious! We will definitely be going back. The array of desserts look fabulous too!

Small deli/diner. There are 4 tables that seat 2-3 each. The store is very small, but the food is excellent. Ordered the onion ring burger which was cooked perfectly and was priced well. Chips and a soda are extra, chips are local brands.

Love what they've done with the place! The meal was delicious and prepared quickly. I'd give more stars if I could but Google is stupid and only lets me give 5.

This be place is fantastic. So delicious. The salmon was so tasty and the chocolate moose was sooo smooth and silky and delicious.

Excellent food. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Ask for the “belly buster” before 11am (it’s a breakfast item) you won’t be disappointed. One of the best breakfast sandwiches around hands down.

Always has the freshest most delicious items! Already planning our next trip back!
