Redstone Arsenal Commissary

Great place to go shopping.
I would suggest keeping the meat section more stocked on the weekends but I would definitely recommend it for any present or Veteran service members.

This place is AMAZING & wonderful! They have the BEST coupon policy in the world! And, the employees are very helpful! I know who to go to at the checkout, and that helps me out a lot!

I really DO like this place, but if your timing is off, you're going to have a bad time. This is also like the Class VI in that you may be behind an entire extended family with six carts checking out at one cash register, paying in foreign currency while trying to file their taxes months late.

Great prices and selection. The staff is helpful. Only issue I've found is that many times there are only a few checkout lines open which makes the wait longer. They seem to have improved this lately.

I don't know why we need to grade this place. It's a grocery store. The produce could be fresher. I brought Jimmy dean bowls because they are less expensive. The cashiers are nice and fast. The baggers would for tip so I think they deserve a reward. I have been to better commissaries but this one is okay.

Surprised and excited at the selections, especially the organic products. This was the first time I'd been there in several years, and found some products as much as 60% less than the civilian grocery stores. All of the personnel were very friendly and helpful. It won't be years before I go back.

As usual no problems or issues at the commissary. Great staff, great selection and as usual very good pricing. Always worth the trip into Redstone. A big thank you for the folks that help make it a fun and enjoyable shopping trip...

It seems like we are going backwards, masks agsin at the commissary.

All of the Management, Meat Department, Cashier, Stocker and Bagger Employees are always professional and courteous. They take the time to be helpful, respectful and friendly in finding the items you need. The added bonus is that pricing is more than reasonable and there is a plethora of foods and goods to choose from.

For an authorized military or retired military person the commissary is perhaps the best place to shop for food items. Consider that one notable benefit is not having to pay the 9 percent tax ( in Alabama). It is clean, and well stocked. For a " customary but optional tip" there are "baggers" to bag, carry your food to your car, and load it in. Great service.

I love my neighborhood stores: publix, Kroger, etc.; however when I need basics; (Paperwear, fruit drinks, cleansers), I choose my Commissary. Nothing fancy, but well stocked, fresh items can't be met in outside venues. It's my Commissary when I need sustaining items. Oh, I also gassed up and brought my favorite wine.

I had the most wonderful experience. The bagger was the most wonderful person. She is from Ethiopia. She was so polite & spoke the most elegant English I have heard in a long time. She made my visit. Wonderful person.

Always came here with my grandparents when I was growing up. Fast checkout (often with baggers) and unique items for sale. Be sure to try the donuts in the bakery- those were always a favorite!

Love shopping on the Army Base. It save us over $300,00 a month. We shopped once a month. We love the Army post. Ever one is very nice that we have run into on the Army post.

The military commissary is a great place forever the military retired and soldiers to shop. Lots of parking and friendly people to serve you. I'LL be going back soon and do some more shopping there. Thanks to you, Uncle Sam!

Most products and produces are cheaper here. Plus you don't pay taxes. Badly, you need an active military CAC card to buy things here. Also the 5% charge is not coool :(

I asked when they would have the good ham deal and was told friday dec 15. $7 off and a coupon for free pound of bacon. I bought 2 hams ! These are the hormel hams with the cinnamon sugar glaze. I probably bought hams every year when they do this.

Sometimes the prices at aldis and sprouts are better than the commissary. Probably loss leaders. But overall commissary is good place to shop.

Love shopping here even though it's a little out of the way for me. Great prices and the shelves are always stocked!
