Food Lion

A shout out to Deli Manager Pam and her team. I needed several party food trays in a short amount of time. Pam and her team not only met my tight timeline but what a great attitude they had, so accommodating and pleasant. I'm impressed!

I love this store but I give it 5 stars because I come to this store all the time.

I live in Chesapeake and I visited the Birchwood mall location in Virginia Beach and I was just pleasantly surprised. These ladies had customer service down to a science they were amazing from start to finish. The following ladies contribute it to my great visit at this location; Talayah Whom was personable kid friendly very thorough and paid great attention to detail when she noticed what I need in the deli department she assisted me right away with no hesitation. She was just amazing. Shakira, Dawn, and Earlene also made my visit great. Thank you ladies. Although I live in Chesapeake I would definitely come here to do my shopping at this Food Lion because of the Stellar Customer Service they provided.

Awesome service and quality products. They always meet my seasonal needs (4th of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Halloween). They do not fall short of providing great customer service or having what you need or want. Great job Food Lion. Yall do make yalls customers feel like M.V.Ps.

I don't go to this location often but the cashier who waited on me was a shining start in this negative world. She was young but polite, cheerful and extremely accommodating. I had to tell her. She made my day. I have yet to have one person be rude at this Food Lion.

I just went again. I wish I had thought to write their names down but they worked in the deli about an hour ago. It was a young girl and a older woman. They were both exceptionally polite and helpful. I called the store to give them kudos! Love this store!

THE Old FOOD LION store has everything! The produce is average to all the fancy stores. The convenience is fantastic near by. 👌 👏 ITS BEEN AROUND FOREVER.

I usually shop Kroger Market place but now I have discovered Food Lion I may never go back. I have been to many FL this one is excellent! From customer service to the store looking neat and clean plus this store was fully stock.

I was amazed at the customer service. The place is clean and well stocked, but it's the people that keep me coming back.

It may not be the largest Food Lion in the area, but the produce is fresh, the deals are plentiful and the staff are fantastic. I've never had anything but pleasant interactions with anyone there and just today three of the employees spent a considerable amount of time hunting through the store looking for melba toast for me. While the toast was not to be found, great customer service and helpfulness was in abundance!

There are no long lines, like at Aldi's. The have more cashier's, and the price are very competitive. People are so polite, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There were more than 2 employees, in like Aldi's. I will continue to go to Food Lion all the time. No hassles, worries or stress!!!Love this place

Super clean store with very friendly and helpful staff.

The Meat Manager was very helpful today, he split a large roast for me, thereby allowing me two meals out of one roast. Also at the checkout today, the lady assisting me truly understands the meaning of customer service. This store is the one I frequently use, and have rarely have ever had any real problems. I recommend this particular store to all citizens of Virginia Beach.

I always enjoy my shopping experience at this Food Lion. Everytime I go there, Kim from customer service is always so nice. There is also Lee, and Lisa that's in grocery I think now, and the young lady who does the pricing tags... I'm not sure of her name. These are the people that make the store inviting.

This is a grocery store it has many options however it's a food lion its variety is somewhat lacking you can find what you're looking for most of the time some brands are limited there is also a large selection of stores brand some are good some aren't even close to the brand that it imitates. The store is clean and the displays are well maintained use your MVP card to save money. Some cashiers will have one at the register if have forgotten yours. Overall it's a good place to go but be wise check prices and use coupons.

I go to this location for veggies and they always look fresh and beautiful. The workers are always attending the fruits and veggies. I encourage everyone to only shop here. They have the best customer service and always have great looking food. Very worth it.

Positive review: Okay so this might be a little bit different of a positive review. But I want to say one thing they're doing right!
During covid, most grocery stores herd you through like cattle. You can only go in one door and out the other..
That's not really a big issue, except when you are handicapped and rely on close handicapped parking. (such as my wife, who is recovering from a stroke.) So, I appreciate that we don't have to go walking all the way down to the end of the store to the other entrance. I don't know why places like Walmart or Kroger even bother having handicap parking if they're going to do that to their patrons who can't walk well... Like I said most other grocery chains force you to do that... So thank you for having half a brain.. 🥰 Food Kitty Rocks!

I'm so very glad they stay open until 11pm. I t gives me 45 minutes to shop at my favorite brand store. Thanks for doing all you do to feed homeless people.

Great prices, the quality of their items is tops, very fresh food items at a fantastic price, and their customer service is unbeatable. I love shopping 🛍 there.
