Food Lion

This particular Food Lion is great. It's clean and well stocked. They constantly have great sales and the prices are on point. They recently opened self check outs (I love self check out because I would rather do it myself than deal with a frustrated cashier who has had grumpy customers all day!). The parking lot is well lit for those after dark trips. Just a heads up...the produce isn't always fresh so make sure to double check.

For a Food Lion, this is one of the better ones. Very consistent management and very low turnover in staff.
old foagy complaint here: Start calling cops on the loitering around your entrance AND on the entitled @$$#0!%$ that park in the NO PARKING Lane blocking the door, clogging lanes of travel and creating obstacles/blind spots. CALL THE COPS OR ENFORE THE RULES. Sns - it's not worth going to jail over, but I'd gladly pull them out of the car and guide them into a few things with vigor!

All that I can say is Wow! You will always find what you need here at Food Lion! Pick a basket, and off you go. You will always find fresh fruit and vegetables here. The associates are friendly, too. I have always been greeted at the cash register with the statement, "Did you find everything you need?" So go by, and try their delicious cookies 🍪. You'll find them over in the fruit area, around the nuts. I was in and out as I was still excited in sharing my story about a bear I saw on the BlueRidge Parkway. Just picked up a few munchies to take to our hotel room. Store was clean and nicely arranged. We talked to some locals while in the store and they were very friendly and nice. We found everything we were looking for.

Closest place to me to find brand names products.. how is is Food Lion always has the best price of Folgers?🤔😒😏😎

Love food lion, this one always has what I am looking for except coffee, which is kind of a downer. I love coffee and their bagged coffee selection is not great. But everything else is quite lovely including the staff here!

Always has a lot of product in stock. Friendly employees to check you out. Which is nice to see anybody at a cash register to check you out these days. Good shopping experience

My local store! No complaints! Jody the manager is the best. All the co workers are! Even if it’s a long line they will open up another register. Chicken hot n fresh if asked. Love the fried chicken here and at any Food lion!

I've shopped at Kroger and Harris Teeter and also all of the high end stores. Food Lion has a really delightful selection of foods I enjoy.They have excellent produce. They have all the essentials and make make a great rotisserie chicken. Great customer service. I think they are a hidden gem.

I choose to go here because of the service and I can usually find what I'm looking for. It's also close by and clean. The one closer to my home you can never find anything and there's always police activity that way.

The one on Virginia Beach Blvd is the oldest store with limited selections on seafood. It's a smaller store. The greatneck store is newer, larger, better selections. 👍👍

There is a wonderful cashier there! I went into the store to get something, because my blood sugar had dropped. She pointed out the candy, and told my granddaughter to make sure I sit down and eat it right now. She was Asian and WONDERFUL. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I love this store more than any other stores because people who work here are nicer and more helpful than any other Food Lion I've shopped. This location is a true neighborhood store. Many customers and workers know each other and call each other by names. They all like to joke around and talk to each other like you'll feel like you are in a big family. They will try their best to get whatever you are looking for. If they're out of stock of something while they're on sale, they will write you a paper so you can get it with the sale price even after the sale was ended.
I love their chicken thighs from the meat department. They are cheap and delicious, or even better when they are on manager's special.

I usually dont shop at Food Lion, but kroger does not carry a specific brand of Stir Fry mix that is a must have for me. I went in just to get that and end up getting all of my ingredients due to the customer service of the cashiers. All of them pleasant. One complimented my hair, another was in the process of helping another customer but still stopped and answered my question ( with no hesitation ) and the last cashier that helped me was just as sweet as can be. I should of got their names.
Almost forgot to mention the produce section was AMAZING!! Everything looked so fresh. Might have to stop in this paticular Food Lion more often. Thank u staff. Keep it up!!

Last week I dropped my car off nearby for service with the intention of taking a rideshare home. I went into Food Lion first to pick up a couple of items and realized my cell phone had died, without a way to call for a ride. Reylyn was at the customer service desk. I asked to use their land line to call my husband and she explained that it didn't make outgoing calls but then went out of her way to help me find another phone and made sure I reached my husband in order to call for a car. She was personable, sweet, caring, and went well out of her job description to help me out. I can't thank her enough. We need more people like this in the world and Food Lion is lucky to have her. Thanks!

It's my regular store to shop. They are all friendly and work hard at providing service. One cashier especially (Monique) is just so darn cheerful. It makes shopping a pleasure.

Genuinely a neighborhood store, and I'm happy to be a part. 😭 I just wish I didn't come so close to Thanksgiving, but the employees are always working diligently on stacking merchandise, so I have no doubt the products will be in stock during my next visit.

Ouick service and customer service is excellent

They were great. It was super busy but everyone was cheerful and the checkout lines moved quickly.
Ashley at Aisle 6 was great all 3 times I popped in to pick up last minute spices etc.
