Very cute! We had fun just browsing. All kinds of gifts whether for someone else or for yourself!
Kitchen items, jams, sauces, knives, toys, candies, t-shirts… the list goes on! I’m sure at one point (opened in 1917), it was more of a hardware/furniture store, but at this point in time, expect lots of goodies.

Awesome place. More case knives that I’ve ever saw in one place, old fashion candy, fresh chocolates and such, toys upstairs. What more could anybody want in a store. Must visit once and you’ll be back.

Start by saying the folks there are very friendly, warm and personally greet us with smiles and kindness. Like stepping back in time with the atmosphere and awesome service. Great chocolate choices and delicious coffee. Thank you so much.

Love this place! Every time I go in the people are quick with a smile and friendly to talk to. It’s like walking back in time. If I didn’t run a busy life I’d definitely be in more often. Glad to see a business that holds to good old fashioned values!

Always loved this store, still the same but now they added some new stuff they sell old fashioned candy by the pound and have a coffee bar and snakes and coke floats, really good place.

Love this cute mercantile with Athens merchandise. Its a must stop in for a fun look around and unique purchases. They have a ton of pocket knives, lots of old candy favorites, sauces and jellies, and good outdoor items. We loved the old timey coke machine!

This was such an awesome little old time store! The staff were amazing, they had tons of stuff kitchen supplies toys, candy, candles, body butters. Was really a cool spot! Have to go back and try the coffee shop

Great Place! Your employees, so helpful, and the friendless! Great candies, Love your socks and your aprons!! I have dishes I bought in there 40 years ago..still like new! My neighbor loves her socks! I plan to shop in there more often! UG White is one of the reasons Athens has become a great town to visit and shop! Thank You! SK:)

Awesome place to find gifts for hard to shop for folks!

This store is charming and an essential stop in Athens. If you are on I-65, plan a stop because you will be glad you did. From homemade truffles, to unique jams, to adorable dishtowels and aprons, pocket knives to toy train sets, there is something for everyone. The customer service is outstanding. Opened in 1917, this store could be used in a film because the counters, stairs, and floors are perfectly vintage. I'll visit again soon.

Probably our favorite place in Athens. Lots of vintage charm with one of a kind items: cooking and baking accessories, vintage candies, toys, truffles, vinyl stickers, knives and a new coffee shop inside.

I love this store. It's so much fun walking through looking at everything. A huge shout out to Bridger! He is so friendly, energetic and such a fun personality. Too bad there isn't one of him everywhere people shop.

UG White is absolutely amazing!! I have been going there since I was about four years old. When the big box stores put a strain on the hardware business, UG White found a way to survive. It is a MUST SEE and we take all of our friends that come to visit for a stroll around UG White! FYI- don't forget to grab a jar of pickles!! Best I have ever had!

Always a treat to go in & browse. The candy selection is fantastic. Great place for gift ideas & home renovations. It never gets old going in even if it's just to browse.

One of the neatest places to visit and shop. I've been shopping here since 1985 and the updates in recent years have made it even better. There is a lot of useful stuff, nice outdoor clothes / gear, and unique gifts at a reasonable price. There is also a great restaurant calls LuVici's next door.

Great local business with lots of unique and local products. It's one of our favorite places to go and get good for people. They sell knives, soaps, lotions, clothing, candy, carry iron products, just about everything you could imagine. Just like an old country store.
