I have been going here for 3 years, I love this place. They have a fantastic selection! Some of my personal favorites are the black Widow ciders, Alpacian sipping creams (dark chocolate coffee and butter pecan) they have a good mead selection. They do update stock pretty well so it's always fun to see what new they have in stock.

Stopped in looking for a couple bottles of Cabernet. Great selection ended up grabbing a couple bottles of the cab as well as a fantastic Argentinian Merlot. Great Bottle Shop to drop in on good selection. Will shop here again

Village Wine and Spirits is my FAVORITE bottle shop in Athens. They keep the place impeccably clean and well organized. I often see the crew there keeping bottles and cans neatly arranged and faced making looking for something easy. Their prices are right in line with what you expect to pay. Also, the crew there seeks out opportunities to to give you recommendations. I often find their insights very accurate and I highly regard their input (they don’t try and push things on me). They also make the effort to point out new arrivals and put forth an effort to get to know regular customers. All the employees work well together and share a cheerful demeanor. Also, if they haven’t tried one of their offerings they ask customers what they think to help with recommendations for others. I once noticed an employee helping load a customer’s car in the rain and it’s stuck in my mind as a positive vibe for the whole store and staff.

There is a wide variety of wines, all organized by varietal or location. Their spirit selection is quite diverse as well! I spotted some plum wine and sake along with your typical American spirits. All in all, a great location with fair prices.

Best store in Athens! The employees are really nice, the store is clean and taking safety precautions, and they have a huge stock. Their online ordering system is awesome, too! It's easy to navigate and takes about 30 seconds to pick up when your order is ready.

My go-to place in athens. They always help me and suggest new and interesting drinks to try! I have never had a bad experience! They turned me on to a company for beer I didn’t know about and are always willing to share their wealth of knowledge for when I’m trying to make fun new drinks.

Best liquor store in Athens! So conveniently located & has everything you need. I especially appreciate the caution and respect the employees have shown during the pandemic as far as consistently wearing masks and making sure customers use the tap-to-pay system. Village has my business forever!

This used to be my go to store before i moved. Love their service and staff. I usually go to the place by my house now but since the pandemic i have come back. Their covid 19 practices are top notch and make me feel safe and satisfied. Def worth going a few extra miles for great deals and excellent service!

I'm not from the area but I always stop here when I visit Athens. They have an amazing beer selection, including a large variety of single beers you can use to create your own 6 pack. Their staff is also friendly and will make suggestions/talk about beer with you.

THIS IS MY GO-TO. I love everyone who works here! All very positive and cool people to be around. They even recognize me when I come in and always have great recommendations.
Besides the 👌 staff, they also have a big selection of beer and liquor.

I live in Michigan and head my parents bring me up two cases of Georgia beer on March 30th. I didn't realize until a month later that one of the cases of beer was a couple of months out of date. I got in touch with the store and they are reimbursing me for the past-it's-prime beer. Excellent customer service.

One of the best places in Athens Georgia to find craft beer from all over the country. Blake and his staff knowledge of the beer and the breweries that make the beer is top notch. I would recommend anyone go here for your beer, wine and liquor.

I love the guys that work here. Jokes, recommendations, and a sympathetic ear. Good prices and a decent selection no matter who you've got to buy for. From hipster brews to good ole Budweiser, fine wines to bargain bottles, a wide assortment of different liquors and their mixers, and a nice size variety, you'll find something great within your price range. They also have some tobacco products (including cigars and cigar tools). Small venue that's clean and clear of clutter, with wide enough aisles for wheelchairs, a ramp for handicap access and handicap parking. Openearly and late. And free of judgement if you show up with half your mascara running down your face, in pajama pants and a bridesmaids dress covered in pizza stains, unable to speak in full sentenced without giant heaving sobs. Which is really nice when you're buying your 4th bottle of vodka that week at 11:30 AM, especially when you just got off the phone with your mother who's been screaming at you about mother nature and internal clocks ticking since you got home at 7 AM after a full night of crying into your champagne about how cold and lonely a queen size bed can be when the only company you have in it is three cats and a body pillow you've named Liam. Or...ya know...whatever could be going on. Anyway, great place. Highly recommend it for all your self-medicating needs.

Every time I come to Athens, I go to Village Wine & Spirits for the good selection and the wonderful staff. Special shout-out to Cody, the finest liquor store employee on God's green earth.

Absolutely love this place and the guys that work here are amazing..
They are very helpful and see my pull up and have what I want already at the counter. And they really try to get to know their customers personally....
