The Banned Book Nook & Other Curiosities

Did you know these books were banned? If you didn’t, my guess is you’re going to be even more surprised when you see what other books are banned and what the Banned Book Nook have curated.

My wife and I made the visit here from Dayton, and I would highly recommend. They have a nice selection of banned books, but also plenty of other great reads and knickknacks. We were specifically looking for our kid, and picked these reads, plus some others for her.

The couple that owns the store was awesome to talk with and we will certainly be back.

We took a day trip to Wilmington to check out this store in particular. I have been pretty keyed in to the discussion about banned and challenged books, but there were still so many that surprised me.

The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, and I enjoyed chatting with them.

I found a few books for myself, and we picked up some other selections for family members. They also have a cute selection of small gifts and trinkets (perfect for stocking stuffers): pins, stickers, coasters, bookmarks, and more.

We will definitely be back!

I love their box of books for $20.00! I give them access to my goodreads account and they go to my “want to read” booklist. Then for $20.00 they send me a box filled with 4 books from that list. It’s a total surprise what I will get. Included in this box was a handwritten sweet note and fun stickers! I’m going to order another box! 😁

My new favorite bookstore! The owners are extremely welcoming, and eager to find a book from their wide variety to fit your interests. Prices are very reasonable, and I love their mission to keep books (banned or otherwise) accessible for everyone.

I shared my Goodreads list with Rachel and she sent 4 books that I'm excited to read! She picked out a diverse group of genres that all fir perfectly with what I'm interested in! Bravo!

I am SO excited to have another bookstore in my hometown! The prices are so reasonable, shop is too cute and the owners are even cuter! Super thankful to have a place like this to visit when I come home from college! Everyone should go visit this store!

Finally made it downtown last night to check this place out and I'm so glad I did! They have some many cool things in there plus a great selection of books for all ages and interests! I can't wait to go back!
