Such a cute place! Went for the houseplant sale and ended up browsing the eclectic selection of treats and goodies. The “mini” cheesecake was delicious and large enough to share, but so good I didn’t want to!

I’ll definitely add this to my list of wonderful places to stop when I’m in the area.

Cute Vermont shop with huge variety of crafty stuff, excellent coffee (recommend maple shots)and lots of pastry/sweets/fudge. Great place to visit.

We had the pleasure of stopping by Barn Owl today on the way back from Orlean Vermont. It's wonderful to have such an eclectic, beautiful, place with such a large offering of sweets, savory items, goods, AND ICE CREAM on the route. It's almost a place out of time!

I normally do a PROS and CONS for everyone to share my experience with others.

PROS
Check out some of the photos I took for starters, but the decor is on theme and similar but unique and rare. The environment is warm and welcoming, the type of place I'd stick around to have a coffee and croissant.

CONS
It's not closer to where I live, but I WILL be making the trip regularly as their staff were friendly and the selection amazing.

I would recommend traveling up to Berkshire, the area is beautiful and this destination is worth the trip. Bring your camera, there are plenty of beautiful views on the way, just more added benefits of visiting Barn Owl.

And before anyone asks, this is my first time in and NO I am definitely not affiliated in anyway beyond patron.

Adore this place. The COZIEST rocking chair in the county! An incredible selection of coffees, drinks, goodies, and delightful gifts. There's always something new when I walk in. Berkshire's lucky to have this place.

My grandsons love this place! Great place to enjoy a hot beverage and delicious pastries and muffins, including gluten free treats you wouldn't even know they're GF, breads, too! Looking for gifts, Made in the USA, stop here! And oh the homemade fudge and truffles, jars of candy, and more! Truly a fun visit, a place for community, with game night on Fridays!

Hidden gem! Beautiful gift shop with delicious pastries, cheesecakes and croissant sandwiches. $21 for a brownie, the best I've ever had, lemon bar, ham and cheddar croissant, so flaky and buttery and Baileys cheesecake. The cheesecake alone would have been $30 in NJ. Amazing! Worth the trip!

This place is pretty awesome! We love that pretty much everything you can see you can buy. So many unique and fun stuff. The girl behind the counter when we went was not friendly at all and made us feel pretty uncomfortable, but otherwise we love the store!

Another hidden VT gem! This place is unexpected, lovely and chock-full. Start with the counter as you walk in; choose from yummy coffee, chocolates, pastry, a candy wall and treats. Sitting areas to sip and chat! Several rooms of gorgeous, VT-made gift-able; jewelry, kitchen items, decals, kids toys, artisan axes, baby gifts, gourmet food, soaps, pet treats and gifts, winter hats, books. Plants! A boatload of ice cream flavors in the summer. So. Stop. If the Open flag is out, definitely stop.

This is such a fun place, totally worth the drive. Get a variety of drinks and delicious desserts and cozy up at one of their booths. Browse hundreds of Vermont made items: jewelry, cards, towels, seasonings, teas, stickers and etc. There is also a food truck on site!

A form of business not seen in my childhood in this region. A wonderful thing to see Berkshire having enough traffic to sustain such a divergence from the previous norm. Good job, authentically, and good luck.

Wonderful little store. I've picked up anything from freeze dried dog treats to a Santa's flying license here. It's a good spot. Good coffee. Great fudge. Excellent eclairs. Genuine customer service. Products from locals and broadly new englanders. Keep it up; Vermont, more specifically, truly rural Vermont needs you as a role model.

Fun little shop in the middle of nowhere. They have a mix of candy, fudge, pastries, coffee, and ice cream and floats, as well as lots of gifts. 98% of their stuff is made either in the US or Canada, and they focus heavily on local artists. Really cool little place, very pretty, and a nice vibe. We've been back three times just since trying it two weeks ago, and have sent family and friends! You'll love it

Very quaint shop offering delicious pastries, fudge, and other baked goods. Local crafts and preserves, as well as gift ideas and cards, are available. Private eating areas and fireplace are very homey and comfortable. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere most enjoyable. Had a lovely lunch there and left with sweet treats for home.

Such a wonderful place! We were visiting from Montreal and were delighted by the local gift ideas, beautiful plants and selection of sweets. We would have gladly stayed longer to enjoy the book corner and games in such a lovely setting. Hats off to the owners and staff. We’ll definitely be back!

A menagerie of sweets and local goods, Barn Owl Bistro & Goods is a must! They carry a wide variety of products from local artisans that span from tasty treats, stained glass, jewelry, leather works, plants and unique pots, children's book and more. There's seating throughout the bistro as well as covered tables outside which makes it the perfect spot to catch up with friends and family while indulging on fudge or sipping on coffee. I can't wait to come back again!

It's Vermonty without being touristy. We spent a week in the area, and it's the only place we went twice. The kids loved their ice cream, and we enjoyed perusing the local wares. We all hung out and played chess upstairs.
