I've been a customer of Norm's for the past 7 years. The new owners are friendly down to earth guys that know their business as well as their customers. They deliver their products neatly packaged in a timely fashion at a fair price. We won't take our deer anywhere else and will continue to recommend Norm's to friends and fellow hunters.

What I look for in a processor is great customer service, people who will answer your questions, and give you a wide selection of cuts/sausages. Norm's does all of this and I'm glad I took my deer there for processing.

Fun bonus, they will skin and gut your deer or you can do it yourself at their gutting station. Be sure to call ahead to find out what hours you can drop off your deer or check their Facebook page.

Best processor around! Give you exactly what you ask for. Love that you can drop off, check it in, and about a week later you get your order! Fantastic service and great guys that run it! Jeremey, Jeff and Mike are fantastic and treat you like family! Will definitely keep going back!

Really good experience at Notm’s. I’ve always processed deer myself. This year, I got two the morning before Thanksgiving. With company coming in and to keep the wife happy I took them both here. Friendly customer service, professional packaging, and their summer sausage and bologna are great. I’ll be bringing at least 1 deer here a year to get made completely into the sausage and bologna. 5 stars.

Jeremy and his skilled crew of butchers/sausage makers has earned my vote and business indefinitely. I've worked with many deer processors over the last 25 years (primarily in my home state of Wisconsin), and none of them have been as good at the craft as Norm's.

Key perks:

-1 week turnaround time for your fresh, never frozen meat to be returned including fresh homemade sausage (past butchers in my experience have taken months to return frozen meat to me)

-excellent sausage (I've only tried the summer sausage thus far, and it's great - can't wait to dig into the country breakfast sausage)

-perfectly trimmed cuts/no excessive fat

-cost effective (priced by the pound instead of a simple price/deer rate)

-friendly staff

-able to take my 2 deer in same day on a busy weekend

Cons:

Not much to speak of. You will pay $30/deer to have them skinned and I believe you'll have to make a special request to keep the hide. I really didn't plan on having my hides tanned this time around so it wasn't an issue.

Norm's even offers to gut/skin the deer for $40, which is a great service for amateurs, but it's really ill advised to not field dress your deer in the woods especially with the already warmer temperatures in North Carolina. This can spoil the meat, so learn how to dress a deer if you're going to hunt them!

BONUS: Jeremy hooked us up with an unlimited amount of bones, rib meat, etc. for the dog. Our pooch will be spoiled easily for the next year with all of this extra product we obtained.

Summary: THANKS GUYS!! WELL DONE!!

Norm has raised deer butchery to an art form! Backstraps are perfectly trimmed. Best Country Breakfast sausage I've ever had (order with extra fat). Everything is vacuum packed to keep it fresh in your freezer. Thanks!!!

One of the few deer processors in the Raleigh area. Lots of options to choose from for cuts. You can bring the deer there skinned and with guts still in and they will take care of it (for a cost of course). Meat comes vacuum packed and labeled. Good service.

Always a great experience with Norm and the crew. Have been going here for a few years. The summer sausage recipe is incredible! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get much this year due to Covid and lack of ingredients, etc.

Shot a buck on opening day, October 12th. Took it to Norms to get sausage and cube steak. Ate the hot sausage for breakfast this morning. Probably my favorite sausage I’ve ever had. I’m only 13, but in my opinion it’s great!

1st timer at Norms and definitely would go back, everyone of them helpful and friendly and no hassle, only had chance to taste the Summer Sausage and BEST I’ve ever had from a deer processor 🤙, found out they will even gut and skin your deer, that’s what I’m talking about!!!!
