CVS

I’ve been shopping at the store on the corner of Gandy and MacDill, in South Tampa for five years. I’ve never been disappointed, in fact its always a pleasure to shop there. When you factor in the coupons, sales and general savings, it’s a great place to shop.

The manager (I think Amanda is her name) and lady who was working the photo section went above and beyond to ensure that my order that I needed got completed in time same day. It was for a funeral and so was very last minute and they went to another local store to get a few things that they didn't have in stock for same day on this particular day. I can't say enough how thankful I am for them on this day and how it really meant so much to me to see such great people in the world today. Thank you very much!

The Pharmacy - Pharmacist and staff - have always been very professional and courteous. What else is there to say? I have been going there for 6 years and I have been very pleased.

I would like to send “Tim”, the pharmacy manager an Awesome review, actually, the whole pharmacy staff, they are very personable, yet professional, and efficient! I moved away from Gandy, but I still drive there (from Seminole Heights) because the service is so top notch! I am a cancer patient and Tim has always gone over and above to help me, when needed, with anything!

The age-old question as to which is better, CVS or Walgreens, has finally been answered. PLEASE READ! As you've likely observed, wherever there's a CVS, there is typically a Walgreens across the street. For whatever reason, I've always gravitated towards Walgreens... Never again!

I went in to Walgreens for a flu shot. After waiting for a few minutes, I get checked in by a clearly stressed-out member of the pharmacy staff, which I've observed is perpetually stretched thin. After checking in, I'm sitting there for about 30 minutes (during which only one vaccine is administered) until finally my name is called, but only to come up and fill out paperwork. At which point I politely ask how much longer it's going to be, whereupon I am informed that there are three people ahead of me, and it will likely be at least another 15-20 minutes. I tell them I've already been there for a while so I'll come back another time.

So I get in my car and drive across the street to CVS. The store seems cleaner and more vibrant, and there's a much more upbeat vibe on account of the throwback 80s classics that are playing. I make my way to the pharmacy counter and it's decorated for Halloween! I walk up to the counter and am immediately greeted and helped by a friendly staff member named Valerie. She's unable to check me in, unfortunately, because I am still in the system at Walgreens, so she calls over there to ask them to remove me from their triage so that I can receive my vaccination at CVS. When she calls, before she's even able to speak, the call is immediately put on hold, and like everybody that attempts to call the Walgreens pharmacy, she is forced to wait several minutes on hold. She must repeat this annoying process three times before she's finally able to speak with a member of pharmacy staff. During this ordeal, she never once shows any signs of annoyance, just a commitment to helping me. Once she is able to check me in, I am able to receive my vaccination almost immediately.

While there, I was just so impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the pharmacy staff at CVS. They were all quite busy and focused, but there appeared to be a great team mentality, and they all seemed to enjoy working together. Thanks to this experience, I will never make the Walgreens mistake again! CVS has earned my business by providing a more pleasant shopping experience that, in my opinion, is superior in every way to that of Walgreens.

The CVS Pharmacy is absolutely amazing, even in these crazy times they helped me transfer my prescription to their location and got my refill done. I am so grateful!

Favorite Place to Go for Scripts, Beauty Suppies, Eggs, Milk, Bread, Nutritional Products, Vitamins, Photos, Simple Frozen Foods. Quick and Easy for Me to Shop and Find What I'm Looking For, Since I Don't Go to Larger Stores Because of Disability. Plus I Love Having My Extra Card and Receiving Coupons I Would Use. Now I Like Receiving My Receipts Via Email and Don't Have to Deal with Extra Paper Work 🙃 All Else Fells They Have My Klondike Original or Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream, Right Now I'm Hooked on Coconut and Chocolate 🥥 😀

This is and always will be my pharmacy. Every staff member is always smiling. Tim, the pharmacist, is very caring and will go out of his way, if that's what it entails, to help you to the best of his ability. I absolutely love the entire staff here, and would never even think of switching. At one time I moved to Land-O'Lakes, yet I drove all the way to this pharmacy, especially when they are caring, smiling, and non- judgemental no matter the circumstance. My car broke down one week and I had to try and use a cvs on Hillsborough. I was treated very badly and they were rude and mean. I have been using the Gandy pharmacy for years and will continue to stay with them until my last breath. Anyone who thinks this is a bad place or people, in my opinion, must have been the one to instigate it, because in all these years, I've never seen a bad side of any of the staff throughout the entire store. I love them!!

I've been going to the same CVS for the past 10 years and have never had a bad experience their. They have always been very helpful to my every need their. For the person whom claims they are horrible you are probably one of the type people that can't be pleased no matter how well anyone does for them. Some people are just chronic ic complainers.

Many thanks to Jacob at the CVS at Gandy and MacDill in Tampa, FL. Although they were closing he let me pop in quick to grab some ice cream for a dear friend who is dealing with some medical issues. He is absolutely the best. THANKYOU CVS for hiring great people who provide great service.

Friendly staff, some good sale items. Plus there's a Walgreens across the street, I always compare the sales and pick & choose between the two.
