An iconic toy store that is now closing its doors. Staff were very friendly and they still have some cool stuff from their liquidation sale. Definitely a loss for SF as the store is one of the inspirations behind Toy Story.

So happy I found this place. Great selection, well organized, and clean. Has nostalgic toys like Simon and Life to STEAM toys and a Japanese version of Legos (at least that’s my description). And lots of comics. Found great Xmas gifts for my niece and brother! Great service, too. Also they have complimentary gift wrapping - bonus!

This was an awesome old school toy store from the time when I grew up! It was full of some new cool toys, comics & games. They also had some older toys so it had a nostalgic feel. My daughter and I enjoyed going in meeting and speaking to the owners. They're very nice and welcoming.

I visited Jeffery’s Toys in San Francisco for the first time today and it’s awesome! As I walked up and down each isle, I could feel my inner child jumping for joy! Located at 45 Kearny Street in San Francisco, Jeffery’s Toys is the oldest toy store in the city and has been in operation since 1966. Jeffrey's Toys has been a local, family business for four (4) generations and just like their motto says, “ Jeffery’s Toys - Keeping San Francisco fun since 1966!” Jeffrey’s Toys, the oldest toy store in San Francisco, began as a five & dime variety store in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1938. It was called Birdie’s Variety store, named after Birdie Luhn. The store was small, but sold everything from housewares, hardware, records and even toys. After WW2, the US experienced a baby boom and everyone wanted toys! So Birdie, and her husband Morton, transformed their little variety store to Birdie’s Toy House in 1953, selling only toys! Along with the thousands of servicemen returning home after the war, so did Morton and Birdie’s two sons, Manny and Joel. Manny and Joel soon joined the family business, and the toy stores grew in number. The toy store locations now included, Hayward, Berkeley, San Leandro, and Oakland! In 1966, Birdie’s Toy House was renamed Jeffrey’s Toys, after Manny and Mildy’s youngest son, Jeff, and opened four stores in San Francisco. Decades later, the Luhn family still owns and operates Jeffrey’s Toys. There are three (3) main components to the toy store; (1) Toys, (2) Comics, and (3) Games. They offer vintage and present-day toys, a variety of comics, there is a comic book section, and classic games that most baby boomers and millennials grew up with. There is so much nostalgia when you walk up and down the isles, so much so, that I bought a Yo-Yo for old times sake. They also do live events that are family friendly! If you’re ever in San Francisco, you have to visit Jeffery’s Toys!

Great store with a wide variety of items. Puzzles, comics, toys, board games, balls, ouijia boards, books, barbies, whatever you want it'll be there. One dollar comics, free comics, action figures, science kits,

they have an amazing selection of comics very little manga, but the toys and funkos are kinda cool. Would definitely come back just to grab a bunch of comics from the $1 comic section

A wonderful selection of toys available for babies to adults! The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. They also have lovely children's books and collectable toys. Will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful little toy and comics shop. They had everything from new comics to signed memorabilia. Toys from all major brands and smaller companies as well. Funko section was robust and had plenty of options. Great store

I agree with the previous posts about the excellent selection. The friendly and wonderful customer service also caught my attention. Go to this gem of an independent toy/comic book store.

I love this place. It has so many different toys, you can probably get something. They also have board games, Pops, comics, and some manga.

Love this place. Sad what democrats have done to SF causing this place and many others to close due to crime. It also forced tens of thousands of Californians to flood my great state and we don’t like that at all!
