Reflecting on a bittersweet visit to Ulta Beauty with my God Sis Crystal a month ago as Mother’s Day loomed closer, our hearts heavy with the recent losses of our moms. Amidst the sorrow, the Estee Lauder makeover and our thoughtful purchases brought a moment of light. The gift of a makeup bag, selfie stick, and Estée Lauder skincare added a touch of brightness to our days. As we navigated through memories and emotions, the spirit of Mother’s Day felt poignant yet comforting. Adding to our mix of emotions, we found ourselves in Michigan during the NFL draft buzz in Downtown Detroit, a blend of sorrow and city excitement that made the weekend unforgettable.

The Southfield store is my new favorite and this is my story. As I was walking a sales lady was busy putting up stock she asked me if I needed help and I hesitated as I thought she was busy. I said yes she immediately stopped what she was doing to assist me to find a shampoo I was buying for the first time. A 5 star review great customer service. And I drove from Livonia just for this shampoo. It does matter where you decide to spend your money and your time.

My gosh, it's been 3 weeks since I visited the Southfield store and told myself to submit a review. I'm glad I remembered because I wanted to let everyone know that the associate who assisted me was a consummate professional. Jordan was fantastic. Any retailer would be fortunate to have a team player like Jordan. I didn't get a chance to see the names of 2 associates (I think they were managers) who were in the middle of handling a customer situation where the customer was being unreasonable. They both remained calm and collected and walked the customer through resolution. The staff at the Ulta Southfield location deserve praise and recognition.

Hair Stylist Jayla was a BIG help yesterday helping me pick out great hair products. Thank you for taking the time out to help me. Much success to you!

Omg this is my new favorite branch !!! So glad they opened. The staff is beyond helpful. The setup is so clean and spacious. A very special thank you to Sarah she helped my sister and I. She was so kind and welcoming. Will definitely be back just because of her

I went in today for get some foundation that matched my skin tone better. I was assisted by Star. They did a great job finding a perfect shade! When They found out it was out of stock they offered to have it shipped to my house. All of the staff was kind and helpful. I will be a repeat customer.

Star did an amazing amazing job with my brows! I have more than my fair share of brow horror stories. I was made to feel comfortable and we discussed my brow goals. They came out better than I ever could have imagined. They were literally perfect. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I am very pleased with my visit at this location. Jordan, who was extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable, assisted me in finding exactly what I was looking for. I am very happy with the products that she recommended to me.

I went this store a few months ago in search of a Good Molecules product. I called it in first to see if they carried it and they did, I spoke with Jordan on the phone. Hours later when I went to pick it up, I was helped by Jordan and she recognized who I was by the product I was asking to pick up. We got to talking and next thing I know I’m getting a tour around the store lol I didn’t mind at all. I was puzzled at first because almost all the Ulta’s I’ve been to are set up the same, but it was still refreshing to get a tour and see what new brands are being carried, what has changed so forth and so on. What did stand out to me were the services offered, especially for Black women. I complimented one of the Black women (I don’t remember her name) that was working that day on her braids and she said she got it done in the Ulta salon and I was so surprised because Ulta salon doesn’t usually cater to Black Women’s hair. That was soooo refreshing to see and hear about. All in all, both women were very sweet and very engaging in conversation. They both answered all my questions and were able to to help me find different products for whatever I needed at that time.

Michelle was so helpful, professional, and went out of her way to assist guests! They are amazing 💕💕

I sent my husband here to help find an "emergency" eyeshadow color for an event we were going to that evening. Aurelia was amazing! Helped him look at the different options and find the right color. Thank you so much!!!!

Visited this location today (4/15/23) for the first time and had a very pleasant experience, specifically with Jordan! The store was out of stock with a couple things I was looking for but she reassured me that the store will be restocking soon, she also offered suggestions for another product and gave me a sample of a primer that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. She was extremely nice, patient and knowledgeable! Looking forward to visiting this location more.

I bought Kenra shampoo and I just love it. It is a,bit expensive but it's worth it.

I went to the Ulta in Southfield. It was my first time in there. First I wanted to say the store was exceptionally clean and beautiful inside. I was there for a hair appointment for my grandmother. She has Alzheimer’s disease and when the stylist Tonita was ready for her my grandmother put on quite a show. The end result was she ended up not getting her hair done. I tried to pay the stylist anyway for the inconvenience but she wouldn’t take it. She was very gracious and I appreciated that. Overall the experience was great! Great staff very friendly I would definitely recommend going here!!!!

It was a good experience finally. Been going to this one off, and at Tel-Twelve. Was turned off years ago because of the staff. Stopped going. Then decided to go for my birthday, and discovered they had a new staff. Very helpful, and friendlier than the ones years ago. I'm very thankful. I was able to get my annual birthday lipgloss, and the employee dressed in a beautiful neon fuschia top helped my mother-in-law find a brand of skin color corrector. She suggested what she'd personally tried herself. She made us feel very confident about trying the new product. We had a wonderful experience. Thank you for adding to my special day!😊🙏❤

Friendly staff always! This location is WAYYYYY BETTER than the Livonia location! Everyone here actually greets you and opens their mouth to speak!! lol (unlike the Livonia location) everyone here seems very nice, upbeat, knowledgeable about their products, what they have in stock in store and what they don’t, where to find it in the aisles, and most importantly willing to help you , and I absolutely love that ! Lol. My go-2 Ulta location for sure.

I loved it!!! It's very nice to have a nice makeup store in Southfield while also near my house and favorite grocery store.

Super cool location!! I was immediately helped by an employee named Rachel. I’ve been wanting to try some new things with my lashes, and not only did Rachel help me with any questions I had, she also gave me some application tips that helped a bunch- AND she picked out a pair of lashes for me to try, which, I can honestly say are my favorite I’ve ever tried!! Literally perfect for my eye shape!

Great service and friendly staff. Crystal Reese invited me to the hair salon and then helped me shop. I am so grateful for her, I will shop there again!

I went in there to look for some skincare when I was greeted and helped by this wonderful curly queen named bri or Bre I think. She helped me get not only some great skincare but broke down how to use it and what steps. Love love love this location also I wish they had a Mac
