Our morning began at Tai Wah, an approximately 1,000 square foot corner grocery store in Chinatown. We bought Char Siu (BBQ Pork) and Boon Fei (Pork belly w/ Crispy Skin) and ate it from styrofoam containers standing on the bustling sidewalk.
The pork was delicious. It tasted like young pork without any mature or hormonal flavors. Such a great start to a Saturday. As the clerk at Tai Wah said to me, “Chinatown is number one!” I agree!

In my spare time, when I catch a break from my regular gig as an international man of mystery, I enjoy making ramen concoctions. Pork belly generally plays a key role in my little experiments. This is the only place I go to get it. We don't understand a word each other is saying, but somehow I always get a great result. Perfectly salty and creamy pork belly. Magic!
