The Bookhouse

This place is adorable! They have a nice variety books and gift items to purchase. They have a cute kids area to play in. They also have drinks (coffee, tea, wine and beer) and snacks/baked goods to purchase. I purchased a book because it reminded me of the movie Clue!

My sister and I brought our kiddos to this bookstore today having found it online and knowing it had a cute and fun kids corner (and coffee and tea!). So many good things I have to say about them!!!
- they are a small business and they welcome you like you’re their neighbors!
- they were just starting story time! Although our kids wouldn’t settle, we did love that they did that and there was a good number of kids who settled great and loved the story time!
- their prices for drinks are SUPER reasonable and the barista was SO kind!
- I didn’t take a lot of pictures since so many kiddos were around and I don’t want to violate their privacy but I had to take a picture in the bathroom. This was such a nice, clean bathroom with the most AMAZING changing table- so much better than the hard plastic pull down from the wall changing tables! It’s the little things that make life so much easier!
Although I live 35 minutes away, this place is a new favorite. They also give stamp cards for drinks which is always nice! I will be going there to buy books and tea in the future!

I discovered this place by accident with my friends while on vacation for a wedding in North Carolina.

Small but cozy for a cold autumn day. I bought this bag for my sister who also loves bookstores like this. Staff were friendly and amazing! Will definitely come back when I'm back in Reynolda Village.

I love coming here with my toddler to play with the train table and exploring the wonderful children's book section. We first came here when they were having a free book read for children. Everyone who works here is sweet and they really want it to be a community space in addition to the bookstore aspect. They also have beverages you can order. I plan to keep coming back here as we have a positive experience every time.

Lovely book shop! Great variety of books, books of all sorts. A nice little bar with coffee, wine, and beer choices. Baked goods, quiches, snacks. A few seating areas to hang out and enjoy the warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Very cute bookshop with a nice coffee bar, too! While it doesn’t have an extensive book selection, it has a great atmosphere for browsing and hanging out. Nice children’s corner, too.

My husband and I stumbled upon The Bookhouse when we were walking around Reynolda Village and we absolutely loved it! We had delicious coffees and found several books that we ended up buying. It had a great combination of local authors and other great finds. It’s super cute on the inside and one of the owners was in behind the counter and she was so sweet! Definitely check out this spot!!

Great way to spend the day. The baristas were slightly pretentious about milk alternatives last time I went but otherwise the coffee is great.

I was so happy to see this little independent bookshop open in the heart of Reynolda. The decor is cute and cozy, and the book selection is fabulous to browse through. If you don’t find what you’re looking for (it’s a small store), you can add your book title to a list at the checkout so they can keep in touch with the interests of the local community. And they’re also happy to order any book for you - that’s what I did! When picking it up, I met Tara, one of the owners, and she was friendly and helpful. Grab a book and a coffee and then go read on the beautiful Reynolda grounds ☀🌱

The Bookhouse is awesome! It’s everything Reynolda Village needed!! The staff is so engaging and friendly. They not only have great books (and a growing selection being only one month old) but delicious coffee, snacks and gifts. I bought my son a wood block set and my friend a candle and journal for her birthday. I loved my iced vanilla latte while browsing for books. There’s a kids section in the back and there are great cozy spaces for students to come for coffee and study as well. There were a couple books not in stock that I was easily able to order and got within a few days. Shop local for your books!!! This is a Winston Salem GEM!

I loved my experience at The Bookhouse! The space is beautiful and my latte was delicious. There was enough seating to do some work or get some reading in. Also a great "kids corner" in the back with lots of children's books. Highly recommend visiting when you can!

New favorite shop at Reynolda Village. Great atmosphere, coffee, tea etc. Seperate kids section with the wood train table. Adult section if you want to chill and play some coffee shop games like scrabble or just hang out or read a book. Calm but fun vibe. Nice bookshop and coffee bar. Really nice to be able to grab a good quality coffee to go too. Highly recommend:)

What a great place! Found several awesome books I likely would have overlooked at the mega-stores. Coffee was good, atmosphere relaxed and the people were great! Will definitely go back.

My wife and I love finding and supporting local book shops. This one is a gem. We love the atmosphere, the selection, and the community feel. There’s abundant seating, and the coffee bar completes the win. Bravo!

Cute place with a lovely ambiance and very kind staff- this is the place to find the best books- I’ve read 2/3 of the ones gotten from there and they are my favorite books, ever!
