Clean, huge, well staffed. It helps if you speak Spanish; a pleasant experience. I drive there but it is near transit and many locals walk. Market Basket prices are no longer the least expensive, but values remain and the vegetables and fruits are always fresh.

If a grocery store can be awesome, this one is. Anything you can imagine, they have. Produce from all ethnic regions for that recipe your making. I drive 45 minutes to shop here. Great staff. Keep up the great work.

Their take out food to go (all of it) is so good and so greatly priced that I had to say thank you. Awesome whenever your in a rush and need something quick cheap and amazing please try MARKET BASKET... YOU WILL THANK ME LATER...

I stopped in for some goods for my flight tomorrow.

This Market Basket is huge. The shelves are well stocked and actively being stocked. The produce section was clean too. Prices were fair and competitive also. I did NOT feel gouged. Very good pricing. The parking lot was being swept of carts too.

The one downside is this Market Basket's hours. They close at 9pm, somewhat earlier than what I am used to.

Clean grocery store where you get more for your dollar. Always see at least one person I know here. Good steak and cheese and fried shrimp here.

By FAR The best grocery store in the whole greater Boston area if not all New England because honestly I haven’t yet found anything like this. Fresh produce, clean store, friendly staff, an incredible selection of items, and there’s even a cafeteria inside where you can dine in from a variety of options, from freshly made sandwiches, wraps, pizza, Chinese, and so much more. And the price? UNBEATABLE! Expect to see your check cut by half here if not more.

Food here are cheaper. These a delicatessen inside the market and table area where families can sit and eat. Restroom in the center back area. It’s really a great place to see, eat, and rest.

It's always busy, but there's always a ton of registers open. They still wear old school smocks which is pretty awesome. Huge supermarket which will probably have what you're looking for.

I’ve never been in a supermarket like this, and I doubt there’s one anywhere in the world like it. All the global cultures mix here – Caribbean, South American, African, Asian, Eastern European, Portuguese, plus old-time Italian-American and Irish-American. You’ll find vegetables you never knew existed here, alongside plain old cabbages and rutabaga; the fish counter – and I was a commercial fisherman for years, so I know what I’m talking about -- is the best I’ve ever seen; there are many different ethnically-focused areas that make you (me) think, “I never knew anybody ate this kind of thing!”; and the variety among the shoppers, as you might expect, reflects all this variousness, so you see clothing and personal styles that are sometime gorgeous. It’s also – and this is the main reason so many people shop there – the fact that in the Market Basket tradition, most things there (although not all) are dirt cheap. It’s huge; clean; well-organized; and has an efficiently adaptive operating process, so the number of checkouts is always in correct proportion to the volume of traffic. (Sometimes, when it’s really crowded, the mood inside can get a little testy, as one impatient person cuts across the sort of interstate highway ring-road that all the carriages use to navigate their way through it, cutting off another person, sometimes leading to words; there’ve even been occasional fistfights, although rarely!) It can also be hard to find a store employee who speaks English; but no matter, they’re almost all friendly and considerate. Every visitor we have who comes to Boston from somewhere else, after showing them the Old North Church and Bunker Hill, etc., we finish the tour by taking them to the Chelsea Market Basket to do a little shopping. They never fail to be amazed – and it shows them how active and alive Boston really is now, today -- in addition to having such an interesting history!

Wow, I've never been to a Market Basket before, they don't have these in New Mexico where I live. I wish they did! Such a clean store, very friendly and helpful employees, and what an amazing array of produce, deli, and meats! They have everything! On top of that a long line of checkout stands and they were all open. No long lines! Great shopping. Thank you!

You get more for your money at Market Basket than you do at Stop and Shop or Shaws!

I use to love this place but the prices absolutely sky 🚀 rocketed..don't get me wrong I usually call Amazon now and have it delivered but once in awhile I'll go to demoluas..n I have tried to apply foe that job there so many times and I know I'm qualified and they always deny me honeslty it seems they look out for their own I dont know, I gave up trying.

Best grocery store ever. Affordable. The aisles are extra wide. Prepared food is amazing. This is the only place during COVID that I can find the flavors of cat food that I need (I posted a picture of the cat food aisle.... my fellow cat owners will understand). Employees are really helpful. I like this store much more than Stop and Shop.

Great produce, vast and fine delicatessen, seafood counter, and specialty cheeses staffed by super knowledgeable people.

There are cooks serving hot & cold food to go. There arecSushi 🍣 chefs! Coffee and cold confections!

Bakery is so reliably spectacular with a massive and gorgeous selection. Who could resist?

Loyal staff and long term department heads are always helpful. Lavatories front and back. Great sales, flowers, nuts and grain mixes, fresh meats, affordable cereal.

Fresh hot 🥖 bread.

This is the best Market Basket in all NE. Always fresh fruits and veggies. The prepared food is so good and cheap. The only problem is that two of the ladies who work in the grill are too slow and always in a bad mood.

I live in South Boston & will travel the extra 15-20mins simply because Market Basket ALWAYS has A GREAT VARIETY OF Pastries, Produce & anytime I need something the Stop & Shop or Star Market don't have or carry Market Basket not only has it but plenty of it... The Cook staff making the subs, 🍔 & other ready to order food are very good and care about putting out a HIGH Quality Product & Customer Satisfaction is Top Priority⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I usually go in for 2-3 items and buy with 2x what I go in for because so much is at eye sight - Managers & Staff do a Great Job of Product Placement & keeping the shelves Stocked👍👍

As a new resident of Boston, this store is awesome, awesome, awesome! Great selection of hot foods breakfast, lunch,and dinner. Good selection of fish and produce. The prices--that's the most unbelievable part. Far lower than the yuppie southend where they fleece you at their supermarkets. Star Market & Wholefoods should be put on notice. Market Basket even has lower prices than back home in the Midwest. Plus Mass doesn't charge sales tax on groceries like they do in Kansas. The long ride on the Silver line from the Southend to Chelsea is WELL worth the trip to shop at Market Basket.
