John is a word class angler. Upon walking into the shop, I was immediately impressed by how he takes his TIME and dedication with customers. He is not just after making a sale but rather trying to make sure ALL of your questions and concerns about fishing are answered.

He made me feel very comfortable and gave me a hand drawn map of the island, along with a diagram of how to put local bait on the hook properly. Even taught me how to set up my pole for my first surf casting experience!

They do not make people like him anymore. You will love this shop.

Owner is much more than a tackle store owner. He is an instant friend who simply wants you to catch fish. He uses his own photos to guide you to the right places. Prices match mainland numbers from what I could tell. Good place and decicated owner.

First time visiting Block Island I read about the sage wisdom that the proprietor at Twin Maples provides. A quick trip and I scored the lures, the bait and the key locations with all the info on when to go, what to use and at what tide. I am sure there is knowledge all over the island but I caught this puppy on the fourth cast.

One of the best shops i have entered. If you are looking to catch fish you can get into of where they are biting and what to use. I hope everyone has the opportunity to go here.
