How does such a small supermarket have EVERYTHING, fresh and at the best prices?! This Met Food is always loaded with essentials, along with delicious local things like pierogi (which are actually an essential 😜), neighborhood bakery breads, Polish chocolate. The manager is always looking for ways to make it better. The cashiers and stockers go above and beyond, they are rockstars! (They put up all that fab holiday decor in the aisles and the 🌲!) Please spend your money here, go in person and pick up your food, chat with the lovely staff. It's a true NYC vibe, thank you Met Food for keeping me nourished for nearly two decades! P.S. Nothing rivals the Met Food fruit cup... Best in the city! 💋🌟

Best Grocery Store in the neighborhood. The Deli is spectacular and the deli staff is superb. Great selection of butcher meats and fresh produce. They sell beers and ice too:)

The Met is a great little grocery store. The produce is fine, the meat is generally best consumed quickly, and they've got a bigger selection of general groceries than you'd expect. Normally four stars for that, but I added a fifth because their deli counter has really good kielbasa and other Polish sausages.

I’ve never rated a grocery store, but I love this place so much that I had to. It’s just perfect and almost always has everything for any recipe, and the staff are so kind.

I was looking for a market with organic produce. I found it at the Met. I ended up buying meats from the deli and real Italian tomato products. I'll be back.

I love that it's a full-on supermarket near me. The people working there are really nice. I'm happy they cleaned up that funky chemical smell out close by the meat department. Prices are not always the best but you can usually find what you need there. Sales are good there on occasion. It usually has what I like and need and has specialty items that I get on occasion.

The prices are lower, the food is always fresh, tasty, probably really organics. The employees are polite helpful and informative. All is really clean. My judgement is: 5 stars.

Great local supermarket that actually has some great bread options. I come here when I'm looking for the perfect brioche buns.

I come here every day, often multiple times a day. The closing times have been burned into my mind; I wonder if I will ever forget them.

And the Met is great. Some things are confusing like the fact that there is quinoa in five different locations because they are sorted by brand and not by grain type. The whole store has a strong selection of Polish products, more Korean products than you would expect, and a smattering of expensive vegan foods and organic meats.

The cheese section is mixed. I have no doubt that they sell an incredible amount of cheese here, but as far as fancy cheese just to eat on its own there is almost nothing. What there is isn't very good.

The deli section is frequently slammed. People in Greenpoint love sliced meat and cheese. There are many types of ham.

The quintessential mid-size food mart/supermarket. My family has been shopping at the local one for almost 3 decades.

It's a great local store. Not too big selection to drive you crazy. Just enough.
