Dollar General is a good place to shop. They have decent merchandise and decent prices

Gene is a great store manager , loved him at the watervliet store, the self checkout is great and there is more to shop in the frozen/dairy section, but cashiers seem a little unhappy, but I don't blame them getting paid less than 10.50$ to do cashiering, stocking and cleaning sucks!

Smelled absolutely terrible inside. We've always gone to the other one in Riverside and I highly reccomend others continue that trend. My wife being pregnant had to use the bathroom and we needed to grab a few things so we figured we'd check the new store out. It smelled like a dirty mop that'd never been cleaned and was mopped up by a wet dog... at the checkout my wife asked for the bathroom key to which she was told by a worker "my manger actually told us to quit letting people use the restrooms". As a veteran, father and husband I would encourage everyone to shop elsewhere if possible until they treat customers and all human beings in general for that matter better!
