Fresh Plus Grocery

I love this little grocery store. It's not for the big shops, but they have basically everything you need to put any meal together. So it's perfect for a quick solution to dinner. Good produce, cheese, meat, big selection of wine and beer, all the staples, plus some higher end specialties. Staff are generally great--professional and low key. Prices are a little higher. But they don't gouge you. (eg, My favorite IPA 6pack is 10.99 instead of 9.99 at HEB). Some locals who are disabled and cannot drive shop here and are treated like family.

Love Fresh Plus. I remember using their pay phone (when pay phones still existed) way back in '96 when I first moved to Austin while trying to find apartments, then went inside to buy lunch. Later moved into a nearby apartment and have frequented and loved the place ever since. Kind of expensive, but super convenient, fresh food and always nice.

Later moved to the Anderson area and have been going to that location for many more years.

Fresh Plus is one of the few, great places that's still in business in this town since way back when....

Now the name has changed used to be called Cash and Carry spilled with a k I know this as I had my very first job as a sacker at this store, and I like to think of it as the best picnic spot to get ready to go out and have a day on the lake or anywhere Austin has to offer, the isles used to be at a diagonal other than that not much has changed they have a wide variety of things you can't find anywhere else like a small whole foods but they also have all the basics that you might find in any grocery store USA. They have a couple of handicap parking spots and plenty of parking around the side a great deli really good meat A Nice produce section a brilliant wine selection and plenty of helpful faces. And they haven't stopped there commitment to hiring out of Austin's school going youngsters pretty awesome place prices commensurate with Central market on certain items and great deals on other things you wouldn't expect definitely check out the cheese selection. Love this place.

Employees that work here are of all adult ranges and are very courteous and professional. The deli always nice meat and seafood to choose from. Frozen food seems to be a bit pricey. I wish they would sell more ground turkey and chicken. This grocery store is perfect for a single person like me. I can get almost everything from there.

I love this place! It has a unique appealing feel and there is something for everyone, from students to the gourmet cook! They carry gourmet items like pates and cheeses as well as everything else. They even have chicken enchiladas in the deli. I think their selection is great! The prices I believe span a reasonable range which stands out as another one of the reasons I will be shopping there! Plus the help is truly customer friendly. Over the top in customer service all around especially up front and in the deli. Not to mention the meat case which I think would give any other market a run for the money. Their beckoning fresh fruits and vegetables welcome you when you walk in the door and you can see why they named the market Fresh Plus!

Shop local. This location has an excellent in store fresh and prepared food counter with lots of yummy choices. I am in love with their tuna salad and their chicken nuggets. Great wine and beer selections A meat counter with top of the line beef, chicken and pork offerings and Boar's Head deli selections. They stock a lot of locally produced products.

I like to visit here once a month or so because they have interesting things I don't see anywhere else. They also have a wonderful deli, a great selection of cheeses, natural snacks, great produce, a terrific coffee selection...I could go on and on. If you like food, check it out, and bring a friend. It Is a little expensive.

I love the people who work here. The deli counter is particularly fun. They stock fresh produce and meat along with primarily organic and healthy options.
They do not stock your standard HEB stuff, like Spaghetti-o's, but you'll find a great selection across a wide variety of food types.

Terrific grocery. Sure it's not as big as say Whole Foods, but their selection is carefully chosen so that it's really good stuff, but also not so weird that you would be afraid to try it. It's a great mix of mainstream groceries and more organic or specialized.

The deli counter is amazing. I think they smoke their own meats on site. Try the smoked salmon and smoked meatloaf.

If there's ever more than a 30 second wait in line they automatically bring in another cashier.

I grew up in Austin and have been coming here (when it used to be Kash Karry) since I was a child. It’s still a great neighborhood store, small but with a wonderful selection of food and a nice deli. The Monday-only lasagna is really good.

This store has it all! I wasn't expecting to find everything I needed and more. I thought it would be too small for that! i was wrong. I found all kinds of special dietary foods for my gluten free, dairy free diet! The employees were helpful and pleasant. I wish I had a store like this back home in Colorado!

The best "little" neighborhood grocery I have ever patronized--more like a specialty market with an amazing diversity of products in a convenient space. They have a great customer-centered attitude and are very willing to order and stock specialty items.

How lucky am I that Fresh Plus is across the street from my office. It's so easy to stop in and make a shopping trip on the way home for dinner. If I don't want to cook there's their deli, or cooked meats and veggies, or their preprepared meals, or whatever I need. It's an ol' school independent grocer that maintains a fresh stock of most anything you want at decent prices. You don't see businesses like this much anymorr, so I'm more than happy to support it. Friendly helpful people work there. Great place!

Enjoyable grocery shopping experience with wide selection of items including many from local producers! Prepared foods, meat counter, fresh produce, and well stocked shelves. Easy parking. Courteous and helpful staff.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service. I've never written a review before, and this is well-deserved. I was sent on a grocery run by the Austin's film Festival as an intern, and I'm from Ohio, never been here, my list was vague, and the employees were SO SO SO helpful. I was offered help multiple times by a man who was stocking, didn't get his name. Both the man at the deli and Rain at the register were amazing at what they do. Not only did they do their jobs efficiently and extremely well, they conversed with me so easily, it felt like I'd known them for years. Rain held the door open for me on the way out and I left with a grocery shopping experience I never thought I'd have!

Wonderful variety for a petite corner store. Had just what we needed and was super fresh as promised.

Way better choices than the HEB and it felt nice supporting local. The store was clean and the staff was friendly.

Unlike huge grocery chains they have limited choice for products and that is actually usefull. If there are 20 options for a product in a big store and you know you would be considering 3 or 4 among the 20, those 3 or 4 choices would be available here.
And so it saves time.
They have a good collection of local coffee as well and genrally offer generous discounts on them

Okay, so this review is for the location in 2917 W. Anderson Ln. This place is perfect for the Allendale crowd who want to have a quicker shopping experience than one provided at HEB or Randalls. Yes, the prices are more expensive, but IMO to avoid the hassle of going to a bigger store it is so worth it. Love the idea of a meat counter, too, very big city feeling. FYI, if you are looking for pre-packaged meat that is a bit cheaper, they have a sale section just next to the counter and it is frozen already. The dairy section is also divine. If you are looking for a wide variety of processed and snack food, look elsewhere, because this store is primarily focused on the perimeter items, which is A-okay with me!

Great little market with healthy options. I love the variety and the atmosphere. They have breakfast tacos out in the morning, the only thing that would make this place perfect is if they had fresh squeezed juices(grapefruit please 😍)

Honestly, I'm sure this is the last thing that's on anyone's mind but I want to say how incredible the staff is. I've been coming here regularly ever since I moved to Austin and cannot say enough good things about them. Aubrey, Albert, Linda, and a whole rest of the folks that work here do such an incredible job and I'm so grateful that they are not only in my neighborhood but my neighbors as well. Right now we are in the middle of the Corona Pandemic and they have showed nothing but kindness, strength, and support to keep our community here fed and taken care. I hope they are taking care of themselves as well. Thank you all for what you do. You are really the true heroes and deserve to be honored as such.
