My family stopped by for the first time today looking for supplies to make sakura mochi, and we ended up leaving with a whole lot more. This store is fantastic. The owner helped me find the right supplies and made suggestions for similar products that were easier to use. He was also very knowledgeable about the great sake selection and was able to make recommendations based on my personal tastes and price range. The free sushi and mochi with my purchase were delicious and were gone before we made it back to the highway! This store was our favorite part of our trip to Raleigh today, and my daughter is already asking to go back. We will definitely make it a point to stop by every time we're in town!

This is my favorite sushi store in the world! I've been coming here my whole life and I am so very thankful to still be able to frequent it to this day!! Product selection is impeccable, they'll have everything you need, I guarantee it. The staff is very friendly and you'll find many smiling faces at this locally owned business. Come at the right time on the weekend and there's a chance you'll luck into some free sushi, how does it get better than that?!

This is the best place to get authentic Japanese groceries in the Triangle. We get all of our Sashimi grade fish here. Great selection of Sake/teas/sodas. They also sell Japanese beers (Sapporo and Asahi)in 12 packs.They also have a very large selection of Japanese snacks and candies.The owners are great people and speak English and Japanese. So don't be shy to enter and ask questions. Store looks small from the outside, but is packed with goodies inside.

Broader selection of niche Japanese ingredients (e.g. goma tofu, natto, yamaimo) compared to other Asian markets in the area. Most reasonably priced shimeji and enoki mushrooms I've seen in a while too, which speaks to the price point of other things. I am happy this is here and will be back.

Went to Toyo Shokuhin & Gifts for the first time today. I was very impressed! The store is on the smaller side on the outside, but don't let that fool you, it has a great variety of products inside. I honestly didn't know what to get! There's a great assortment of Sake, a lot of sweet treats, and lots of savory foods. They have several freezer/frozen cases full of food. They even have housewares! I was extremely impressed with the variety. I was also impressed that all of the products I saw had a sticker with English details on the back so I knew exactly what product I was getting. The gentleman at the register was really friendly and helpful. This was my first visit, but I'm really looking forward to going back.

Moving from NJ, I am so happy to find a Japanese store in Cary, NC. They have a decent selection of sake and Japanese food and spices. The new owner was kind and polite. He recommended Bushido sake and I am glad I tried it and now I am hooked!

This place is great! I've been missing Japan hard and this place had the ingredients and snacks to ease my pain. Yum!

What a great hole in the wall! Great quality products, even better prices, and they have "sushi grade" seafood products. Their salmon is some of the best tasting salmon I've ever had. All types of accoutrement as well, our favorites include seaweed salad, kimchi, and masago. Kids also found a few favorite, tako (octopus)!

Great store, I will be coming here very frequently. Sake selection is great and they have plenty of snacks, food, beers and many other products.

This is a very special place! The owners are wonderful and they have an amazing selection of products, and Sake. They recently helped me out and made some sushi platters for me for an event, and I couldn't be more thankful and happy with the experience. I highly recommend stopping in!

The loveliest shop. It has many things special and specific that you won't find at H-mart or any other Asian grocery store. It's cozy and always updates with cool new candies. The freezers are stocked with unique things and it's a wonderful place to shop. The owners are absolutely wonderful.

What a fantastic and cute store! Their selection is unique, and they have items you’d never find even at H Mart. We will definitely be going back. While checking out the owner even gave us a free sampler of sushi, such a nice staff and great place ☺
