Spellbound Bookstore

I love this carefully curated, indie bookstore! I found a bunch of gems for the book lovers in my life, including some gently used books! I also loved their stationary and bookmarks! I wish I lived closer, though maybe it’s better for my bank account that I don’t ;)

I loved the variety. I felt the collection of genres was well stocked and there was plenty of options. As a big romance reader, I was thrilled to see authors I knew and loved and some new to me as well. They do e-gift cards which can be bought in person or online. Plus the small businesses they showcase for stickers, mugs, and other knickknacks were all very cute! They will also be hosting a book club (a Silent Book Club chapter!) and other events each month.

Absolutely love this bookstore!! The staff have always been so nice and helpful. The owner is also the sweetest! I found this store when I was looking for a bookstore closer to me and so happy I found Spellbound! They have great events and bookclubs as well!

The perfect place to pick up your next book and a gift! A quaint and cute shop with a great selection of books and gifts, featuring “A Blind Date with a Book”, a wrapped book you can give to a friend or gift yourself! Cute gift bags with books and notepads or candles.

What a great bookstore! I love the atmosphere, the collection of titles and I can’t wait to join the fantasy book club next month! I’m even more excited about the opportunity to potentially read my children’s book there at a future event! I love the “blind date with a book” selection, and the hand-crafted soaps and candles. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Best thing to come to downtown Sanford. The space is clean and welcoming. The books are carefully chosen and thoughtfully organized. My favorite part -the people who work there love books as much as me. I overheard one employee mention she was on her twelfth book for the month.

Had an amazing experience here! Stacy was great and helped me get signed up for a book club and was very outgoing. I can’t wait to get more involved with this place!

I miss the charm of their old location but I’m sure they had their reasons for moving, and downtown Sanford is a great place for a bookstore. I’ve found a few books for myself and as gifts for others.

A cute little bookstore and I love their Blind Date books for the spooky season!

I absolutely love this bookstore. The owner and staff are very friendly and so helpful. The book clubs are welcoming and so much fun. I’ve made some great friends from going. If you’re a writer they have several events where you can meet/speak to authors and get more information on the process. Among other events they do special days where they read with children which is great for little ones. If you’re looking for a swoon worthy book shop this is it. You won’t be disappointed!

This is the cutest little bookstore! The owner has taken the time to organize the sections beautifully and has even created clever ways to recommend new books based on what you've already enjoyed. She carries lots of new authors, which can be hard to find in other bookstores, and we loved taking the time to get to know her! We will definitely be back soon!

Lovely little local bookstore with tons to offer! The book clubs are fantastic, especially for any newbies who were always a little hesitant to join. It’s a no pressure, fun environment book club 😍 I buy all my books here now and would recommend to anyone.

The selection of new books is fabulous and I’m positive will flourish with steady patronage.

They have special events and offer a loyalty club. Hardbacks are 15% off and paperbacks are 10% off. You may also special order books that they do not have in stock. The clerk was helpful and friendly as we discussed some books on our to-read lists. We definitely will be back and look forward to growth of this new store.

Spellbound is amazing. The staff are friendly and well versed. Their inventory is diverse and they are always willing to order if they do not have it. Their books clubs and community events are welcoming and supportive. I recommend this store to everyone!!

I am so happy to know this shop is here since books a million closed, I've had to either go out of town or order. I've only been here once after a parade had me in town traffic. Went in, and it was empty, but that could have been because of the parade. I hope they stay pretty busy, social media has activities and author signings so fingers crossed they stay around. I wish they were located in a better location but aside from that it was a cute place and experience and I'll be back for sure!
