A Pen Lovers Paradise

I can't recommend this store (and the owner, Pam) enough! Coming from an area with few brick stores to shop for fountain pens, it was so nice to be able to shop and discuss with a knowledgeable owner before making a bigger purchase. I had a few ideas on what I wanted, and Pam helped provide suggestions for consideration within my price range. Once I selected a fountain pen, she helped me when one of the ink selections I had picked wouldn't really work with the pen. In this day and age of standardizations, one’s own handwriting style is one of the few remaining uniquenesses that any person can claim for their own identity (to say “I made this one of a kind creation with my own hands”). Each letter can become a once in a lifetime art-work, to each word, to each page, then finally volumes of a one of a kind footprint of one’s own thought to paper. And each pen, to a calligrapher, has its own uniqueness.

I’ve searched so many stores online and in person, and this is the only one that I’ve been able to go to actually hold and try out different pens and nibs (and their different materials and builds), and actually talk from experience and get feedback from people face to face. It would take me a lifetime to actually try out all the different types of pens and inks here. But at least now, there is a place for me to go to explore the journey of finding a pen that would fit me and my writing journey. This truly is “A Pen Lovers Paradise”. Being in the store is inspirational. I definitely have my eye on a few different types to upgrade too as my skill progresses.

I went to this store to find a refill for my sailor pen. Owner was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. She helped me find a few other pens and never pressured me to buy something expensive. And her dog is awesome. Definitely recommend.

I managed to get there today and wow! What a terrific store! For anyone wanting to elevate the pleasure of writing by hand using pens and paper of impeccable quality, this is the store. Despite being a relative neophyte to fountain pens I was given every bit of service and attention needed and couldn't be happier with my experience. I will definitely return!

Overall had a wonderful experience. Outstanding customer service when inquiring about fountain pens. Business took the time to explain a lot and did not get up sell pressure. Prices were reasonable, but the service is what this place is about. Thank you!

I'm skeptical of any item or place that has nearly perfect reviews. However, this small, quiet shop tucked away did not disappoint. The shop owners were friendly, knowledgeable, and the quality and price of items I needed were very good for a local store. In this generally "buy before you try" world, I was surprised to see that one can try inks before committing. I'll be back, and I see no reason to stop the 5-star trend.

The best place for a wonderful selection of fountain pens and ink

Excellent selection of pens and ink. The owner is very knowledgeable and spent time explaining the “works” of different pens. Purchased pens, ink, writing paper and the best Feridies Virginia Peanuts, Dill flavored peanuts.

Stopped in because my husband is a pen lover. We loved this shop and he found exactly what he needed and more! The owner is wonderful and she has the cutest dog:)

Exactly as a stationery shop should be! Wonderful customer service, (with a perfect little greeter named Inky!) Lots of beautiful AND affordable items to choose from. I purchased a new fountain pen, ink, paper, and had extra in my budget to purchase a few "regular pens". My son found a journal and Blackwing pencils which I can't wait to try. This shop is a must visit! Whether new to fountain pens or knowledgeable, it is worth a visit! This shop definitely meets up to it's name!

The owner is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Her store has the largest fountain pen selection of any store in the area. As well as being a good store owner she has managed to make her space seem homely and elegant at the same time. She brings her little dog with her to work and plays oldies (Rolling Stones, Styx, Hall & Oates, and Aerosmith while I was there) on the radio. Basically, what I'm saying is I've never felt more welcome in a store before while also receiving such extraordinary customer service. If you're interested in pens at all this is a must go to destination.

I happened to find Pen Lovers Paradise while looking online for a fountain pen. Being new to this, I didn't want to make a purchase online - I wanted to be able to figure out what I liked in person.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this store! It's a nice size shop with tons of things stationary related. Pens (not so much pencils - I'd love if she had some blackwings) and all kinds of inks and papers.
I greeted the little dog who barked at us to say hello - he's adorable.

Pamela was so exceptionally helpful! She was so nice to chat with and help me figure out what I wanted. I felt no pressure to buy "better" or "more expensive" she helped me find what would suit me best.

You just can't beat a great local store with nice people. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than you can search for and find online. However what I can say is that I had an idea of what I thought I wanted from online research. The pen was a more expensive one and when I felt it in person I would have been unhappy with my purchase if I'd shopped online.

I will certainly be visiting A Pen Lovers Paradise in the future.

Pamela was very welcoming and informative. I went in to buy my first fountain pen and she was patient and knowledgeable. The pen and paper selection is great and the store is very nice! I feel comfortable with my purchase and plan to order from her again in the future.

Really excellent service. Pam is very knowledgeable of what she sells and so friendly and helpful. I came in with a gbvbudget for a gift and she walked me through the pens that fit in my budget. I was so pleased with the pen I'd bought as a gift that I bought one myself!

Also important is that I regularly buy refills for my pen and Pam has managed to ship me my stuff very promptly at a reasonable shipping fee.

I was looking to get into fountain pens and they had exactly what I wanted! I tried several places before coming here such as Office Depot, Walmart and Michael's to no avail. They really seem to know their stuff! I was a little startled walking in because they have a puppy that was right at my feet as I came in the door but he is very friendly once you introduce yourself :) The lady who was there was really nice and had a lot of useful information about using and maintaining the pens I bought.

Love what they have to offer. Very high end beautiful pens, pencils, also options for more affordable but still beautiful pens. The lady was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place whether to shop for yourself or for gifts!

Fantastic selection of pens and bottle inks! Pamela was so lovely and helpful, letting us try a whole bunch of inks, and offering to change the nib on the Pilot I bought. She was very knowledgable when we had questions. Their little dog was a sweety, too!

Just a really enjoyable time browsing and shopping. It was nice to meet miss Pamela and her cute dog. Had the exact inks and cartridges I needed for my different fountain pens. Looking forward to my next visit.

A real gem of a store!! Pam is a very nice lady, and her little dog who walks around the store is so cute and friendly!!! There is an impressive selection of all types of pens, from fountain to ballpoint/rollerball. The paper selection is nice, and the ink selection is absolutely amazing. It blows other stores out of the water!! Pam carries almost every Noodler's ink as well as a great selection of other brands!! She has things available at a wide range of prices, so you can always find something! Her prices on Lamy products are extremely good, and she even threw in ink cartridges in for free when I bought a pen :)

I asked google where I could find fountain pens and I was not disappointed. They have a great selection here of the big name ie Lamy, Pilot, TWSBI etc. The owner was extremely helpful and even mentioned that she is trying to get some Sailor pens in as well. I will definitely be headed here for all m fountain pen needs.
