The Chocolate Ox

So cute here, candy and ice cream shop!! Staff was really sweet!! And ice cream was perfect!!

This is the chocolate ox that's the closest to Grandview lodge resorts. It's a nice little walk from the hotel or cabin sections. There's a cute ice cream cone out front. Only a handful of places to eat ice cream sitting down. Mostly tables. About 8 plastic tables. Some has umbrellas and others don't. When we came here the first day we arrived the cashier was very busy doing her job! Cleaning both the inside and outside glass of the door to the chocolate ox. She greeted us with a very sweet smile and apologized for getting in the way. She was extremely polite and quiet. But helpful and patient while we order $87 worth of candy! Like I mentioned on my other review at Grandview, getting ice cream at the chocolate ox is a must! It's not that long of a walk to the beach from the store! You just have to be okay with multitasking by eating ice cream and walking. We also got a hat from here. We don't regret it either! Fair prices for the amount of candy you're receiving!

Who doesn’t love the chocolate ox this one just happens to be at grand view lodge. This chocolate ox does have a different vibe than the one in Nisswa but I enjoy myself. I do feel like Nisswa has a better candy selection but I could just be biased. I love the ice cream here but I miss the two for one cone day!

Fun little shop with great flavor choices. A single/small is 2 scoops! Get the kids cup. 🤣

Delicious flavors of ice-cream and a huge variety of candies

The Chocolate Ox is every bit as lovely as it looks. It is an ice cream parlor and sweet shop with all kinds for sweet treats for everyone. Got a couple of scoops on a waffle cone and the treat was just magnificent on a warm day. There is a patio area out in front of the shop with seating available if you want to sit and enjoy your treat. Would very highly recommend!

Delicious ice cream in tons a flavors. It's fun to bring the kids, then walk down to the playground by the lake. The deal Wednesday nights is also great!

Don't be fooled by all the candy, the ice cream was freat.

Nice little candy and ice cream shop on the Grandview grounds. Quality ice cream and seating for enjoyment. The kids definitely get distracted by all the goodies in the front of the shop. The ice cream is in the back which makes for a fun adventure with the kids.

What's not to love in a store full of candy , chocolate and ice cream. This shop is located on the grounds of Grandview in Nisswa, MN. Super clean and gleaming with edible treats everywhere you look. There is a great area outside to sit and enjoy our choices. It is a definitely a place to come back to.

Great candy store with amazing ice cream. Very nicely done with great friendly service. Ice cream not over priced either. One of the best places in MN for ice cream. Staff said they just opened for the season.

Fun chocolate, candy and ice cream shop. Lots of classic candies, a great licorice selection, excellent ice cream options, and plenty of fresh truffles and chocolates.

The ice cream is amazing, and the price is even better -- even has outdoor seating. If you like 'scream, go here.

We live on the other side of Gull Lake, but make sure to stop by for summer treats. I love to say “Cheers” to the friendly workers as we try amazing new flavors of ice cream and dark chocolate treats. Top drawer!

The staff is always very friendly and they never seem to out of stock of anything. The Chocolate Ox is as nostalgic to grandparents as it is to millennials by having hard to find candy that was popular decades ago & the newest trendy candy for kids.

Love taking the kids to the Ox. Excellent selection of candy and truffles. The ice cream is very good and they have many different flavors.
