Tackle Haven

I ordered a rod from Tackle Haven never had used this place before. I found their price $10 cheaper than Amazon even after shipping charges were added. Communication was excellent and I was notified that my rod was shipped that same day even though I chose standard shipping. To my surprise, the rod arrived a day earlier than expected. It was boxed with plenty of cushion and arrived in perfect condition. I liked the rod so much I ordered another in a different size the next day. Hopefully I will have the same experience.

I had been doing a lot of online searching and buying of fishing tackle and had been pretty unhappy with most of the "big" online sites. I had not heard of Tackle Haven but they came up in a search for a hard to find item. I called them on the phone and was really surprised when someone answered the phone right away. They were really helpful and the prices were really good. I decided to get a quote on some rods, reels, custom spooling and other tackle and quickly found out that this store is amazing! With me its the people behind an operation that truly make a difference and Phil & Jennifer (there are more but these are the 2 I talk to regularly) are very patient and knowledgeable. I'm one of these guys that asks a lot of questions and Tackle Haven always seems to have the time to answer them all.

They have a very good online store and I have been using that when I know what I want. It seems to only list items that are actually in stock keeping backorder problems to a minimum. I really like this. I have placed a few online orders and they always ship that day and arrive well packaged and quickly even when I opt for the cheapest shipping. I'm an experienced angler but I just bought a bigger boat to go after Salmon in Lake Michigan. This has required a lot of shopping and buying of tackle that I don't have. Tackle Haven quickly earned my trust and I've been buying from them almost exclusively now. Not a single complaint so far and I'm a hard person to please. UPDATE - 03/14/2023:

Just completed another awesome transaction with Tackle Haven. In preparation for the upcoming season I had them re-spool my wire reels and picked up some new downrigger cables and other miscellaneous items. Top notch, speedy service and quick shipping. Not to mention better prices that I can find from the "big" stores. Always a pleasure to work with Tackle Haven. The best tackle shop in Michigan for SURE!

Just about my favorite tackle store of all time. Unfortunately it's 2 hours away from where I live. Thankfully though they're online store and shopping is good and they ship right away!

If your looking for knowledgeable staff with integrity and respect then Tackle Haven is the bait shop for you in the greater St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area. They are always willing to help you out instead of talking you into buying lures that don't catch fish like other bait shops.

The folks here know fishing, fishing gear and are willing to share knowledge.
Unlike most big name sporting good stores, these guys know their stuff.

Tackle haven is a great place. An engaging staff and way more inventory then you can take in in one visit. Plus you can fish right across the street. Last night I caught an 8 pound flathead catfish.

Great go to place for your great lakes trolling needs. Very helpful and responsive employees/owner. 10/10 will be shopping here in the future.
