I’ve been to GW outlets all over the country and this is one of the best outlets I’ve ever been to. No pushing and shoving, no drama. The managers Courtney and Paula are very nice and keep the place clean and rotations organized. These two managers and their employees seem like they genuinely enjoy their jobs and like talking to the customers. I will be making the drive here at least once a month because I was that impressed

I have been coming here since I was a teenager. They shut down for Covid and opened back up again a few weeks ago. It has been like losing a friend. We always find something great here. My kids love to go through the bins and it’s like an adventure. They get excited to come here.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Make sure to follow directions when they bring new bins out or they will make sure you know you didn’t follow them. I don’t even bother with the new bins when they bring them out, because people can get very pushy. Just wait until they start going back to the other bins.

Bring gloves!

A mystery adventure!
Unlike standard Goodwill stores with color-coded tags and individual prices for each item, a Goodwill Outlet store takes all the items those stores don’t sell and pules them into bins and tables, charging by the pound for different categories: linens, shoes, apparel, glassware, etc. Some items, such as TVs and furniture, have a flat fee.

As of mid-September 2023, the Ocala outlet store’s posted hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As I checked out, the clerk said they are also open Saturdays, now. This was my first visit to an outlet, so my impressions might not be accurate:

Shrewd shoppers seemed to know that new items are brought out early along the back wall, then the bins are taken back for refills midmorning. Other bins throughout the store contain jumbles of books or clothes or linens or housewares, and you might find a sparkling sari dress in with men’s T-shirts, women’s tops of any size, and children’s clothes.

Guidelines are posted on the walls: If you are new to outlet shopping, take a moment to read the rules. Tables along one wall hold glassware, plates, figurines and other fragile items. Another row of tables provide clear plastic bags, so the shoppers who already know the different categories can fold and bag up their loot before they roll their cart to check out.

Confused by the chaos? Goodwill staff are happy to answer questions. Even the other shoppers might chat with you about their finds.

Go with an attitude of adventure, and remember that treasures and surprises could be found in any bin! Get tired of the search? There are benches where you may rest a while.

This is a goodwill bins. As far as bins go it's really good. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of carts. Nice helpful staff. Busy place but everybody was very cordial.

Management is key at Goodwill Outlets, this one is great for that reason. Always rotating, rules are clear, prices are fair.

Do not go near closing time. We were traveling home and decided to stop on the way. We got to the outlet right after 2:00 and they already had most of the store blocked off where you could not look. We were only allowed to look through two rows of clothes before they closed off one of the rows 10 minutes after we arrived. They also close at 2:50 instead of 3. The workers made it VERY clear that you must get your items and pay by 2:50. Cashiers were very nice though. I did find a few things while there, which is why I’m giving it two stars. I just wish I could have shopped the full store. This is the first goodwill bins I’ve been to that do this.

I went, I saw and was not impressed. Slim pickings. The items left at this bin outlet was definitely the bottom of the barrel.

Today, I witnessed two extremes. This store was low quality, and the superstore was way too expensive

I came at 1:30 on Wednesday and more than half of the store was already blocked off. Of course the bins with books were in the half of the store blocked off and that was what I came for. Not open Thursday so I have to waste my time Friday now EARLIER than an hour and half before closing in order to see the bins with books. No thanks. Humane society store has a great selection and doesn’t close half the store long before closing time.

The place is clean, safe, organized but the workers oh my god they are disgusting, I will clarify not all of them with the exception of 2 or 3, nothing more than they are very friendly, respectful, in fact one of them is a Hispanic lady who is very very professional Respectful and friendly and another young American girl who is very friendly too. Outside of these 2 people, the treatment given to customers by the rest of the staff who works in the place is horrible. Mainly a short, dark-skinned man is very unpleasant. He shouts everything. The time for everything shouts, every 5 minutes it is shouting how much time is left to close even if there is 1 hour left and at 2:30 they close all the lines with yellow chains and it's over and you can't even get close because they shout for your attention. to customers, they take out all the merchandise for the next day up to 45 minutes before closing the store and only leave line 1 with bins to review and the rest of the 5 or 6 most closed lines full of bins with merchandise for the next day. from 2:30 pm, in addition to the mistreatment that clients receive while they are already online to pay, please if someone from the corporate can take action on this issue I would be very grateful, no client deserves to be treated as they are being treated in this place.

Staff was rude and yelled and scolded customers the entire time we were there. Back up, move, go over there, we need to get ready for Monday. We couldn't look at merchandise and are grown adults who do not deserve to be treated that way. We left after about 3 minutes.

Unless youre a hoarder of junk stay away.
People are like vultures.
Clothes bins are gross.
Just not a good experience.

People working there are a bit rude. Do not go anywhere close to closing time.
