This is a great supermarket! Very convenient and well stocked. Friendly staff!

My favorite supermarket in Jersey City, delivery available when you spend over $80, friendly workers, Awesome management.

You can find a lot of things under one roof. Prices are reasonable, staff is helpful.Veggies are fresh and there is good variety. They have their own breads and those are fresh.

The prices are right but fruits like bananas, and so on are not handle with care. This left thoae fruits in deplorable conditions.

A lot of choices in all departments.
Fresh vegetables, fresh meat, fresh bread, dairies and all the groceries.
You'll have a lot of choices in everything you're looking for.
This supermarket replaces the previous CTown shop that was here.

Very nice workers clean very good place

Of all the CTown in Jersey City this is without a doubt the best excellent price always have specials friendly staff and no waiting online. Awesome place my favorite place in Jersey City. 🇮🇹👑🇮🇹👍

This place is small as opposed to your standard 10,000 sq.ft. supermarkets. Notwithstanding, they have good quality products, produce, and meats. They even have a great deli section. And the customer service is excellent. They're prices are reasonable. I give them two thumbs up!

The only bad things about C-Town are: no parking, and the store is very crowded. Not with people, tho that happens too, but with product. Every square inch is packed with goods.
They are very well stocked with everything from an unbelievable array of canned goods to cat food. Good variety of fresh looking meats. Fresh rolls from Hudson Bread. And hands-down, the best produce in the city. Spectacularly beautiful potatoes & the fattest leeks you have ever seen.
I had not been there in a couple of years and I was completely surprised at how much the store has improved.
Slightly higher in price than the bigger supermarkets but -- the best food store in Journal Square.

Wonder full variety of products placed in clean environment and beautiful staff ,but prices are slightly higher.

C-Town seems to be the former brand of this Super Market the new name it operates under is called "Central Square" Super Market, nice clean Market with competitive pricing and great location.

This is my step when I arrive at JSQ, I make my stop here to grab a few things before making my final route to my home. I enjoy this Market and the staff is great.

Frequently, my child and I visited the Central Square Supermarket- the Store Manager is very professional and friendly to customers. The store is well stocked and cleaned. In addition All Deli personnel are quick and prompt to take your sandwich order- WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP- Thank You😀.

I have been going to this supermarket for more than 20 years. I want to appreciate it Staff and the Manager (the machine) for being at front line feeding us non stop during this terrible situation. Your are our heroes too. Also, thank you for getting new products and keeping it clean. Thank you so much.

It's a small store but it has what you need. The manager is fantastic and will order things for you if they don't carry them. Because the store is so small and it is a very busy area, they go through products quickly. Everything is very fresh! Bring your own bags as they now charge for plastic bags. (JC rules, everywhere) Paper bags are free...for now

This is a pretty good neighborhood supermarket. It's always clean and the workers are very helpful

Great local neighborhood market and the manager is absolutely the best! Why a huge chain with more pockets hasn't snapped him up is beyond me, but extremely well run and surprisingly great items available with an extremely friendly staff! A true hidden gem in journal square!

This is an update as of 9-24-2019. In the last year the prepared food area in the deli section has improved dramatically. Alma is the chef and manages this area as well the entire deli section. She makes usually 2/3 entrees daily plus rice and or potatoes and vegetables. The food is always excellent and great service with a smile. She is ably assisted in the deli area by Sondra - if Sondra wasn't there Alma could not do what she does.DO NOT miss sampling Alma's cafe nook!!!

I love this place. I like that they carry everything I’m looking for. I love their organic products and their fresh produce. I also like their meat department. My mom purchases meat and it’s always fresh, we haven’t had a bad experience at all.

About two years ago a different management team took over. It took a while, and the interference of the pandemic, before their intentions became clear. Unlike the previous managers who had been there for too many years, the new guys recognize the rapidly changing demographics of their clientele.

Inventory had been highly skewed to low income and limited food interests. I estimate they now carrying more than twice as many SKUs. Where they offered perhaps two brands of yogurt, the most popular priced brand names, they now carry at least 6 and sometimes eight, including the deluxe brands.

Breads were the standard packaged stuff, likewise the popular brands. They now have shelves of small bakery breads that include both French and San Fran sourdough and artisan multigrain loaves.

Likewise their fruit and vegetable selections are expanded. You used to find two or three brands of packaged dates. There are now at least 6. They now offer at least 4 more breakfast cereal brands. Honey and maple syrup choices have doubled.

In conversation with the manager about these changes, they are aware of and positioning themselves for the huge number of new, upscale apartments within a five minutes walk that are being filled with more affluent and more sophisticated customers.

This supermarket is all you need in your neighborhood. The produce is always fresh, the selection of grocery and organic products makes it easy to shop, and the new upgrades to the deli are really nice. The deli is super clean and well-organized, and the quality of their products is great. Now, they have rotasserie chicken which has its unique and delicious homestyle taste. Great place to shop for your groceries.
