Elk River Books

Great place to spend alot of time browsing. The layout of the shop was outstanding. Book shelves were labeled really well. It's not a huge shop, but they had some really great books. We bought 4!

Best place for easy access to great literature, large used books section, excellent presentations and variety of community events.

Really lovely collection of rare books. They're strewn throughout the entire store, so keep your eyes peeled for special editions you may overlook otherwise.

Just attended an Elk River Books event in Livingston featuring authors Tommy Orange, and Tess Gunty. These national book award winners were phenomenal, the event was very classy, the owner of the bookstore was there selling books and was very friendly, informative and approachable! Support this independent bookstore, I know I will! Their events are excellent and they do so much to facilitate community and foster a deep interest in books and reading!

This store is spectacular. I ordered a relatively hard to find book from them on Friday, they shipped it out the same day, and it was delivered on Monday (to Vermont!). And the book was reasonably priced, in excellent condition, and very well packed.

Elk River Books has such a great selection of books and other items both for you and your kids. They also are always willing to order me a book if they don't' have it on their shelves which allows me to regularly support my local book store! Thanks for being so great!

This might be one of the cutest bookshops I've ever visited. Such a great selection of new and used books with a wonderful seating area upstairs. Really good prices and I can't wait to explore it again!

Elk River is my go-to source for regional, new and gently used books and has a browser-friendly atmosphere that honors literary tradition. Their author readings and series of lectures are always fascinating, free and a wonderful way to connect with the writers behind the books. Bonus: Wheatgrass Saloon sharing the same downstairs space serves up tasty, healthy foods and beverages, and sustainable goods and great gifts.

Great little book store with some local treasures as well as plenty to pique the interest of readers at every level.
