El Tapatio Meat Market

Located in a plaza not too far from Little Elm beach, step into this market for pure authenticity. It's cramped & the line wraps around the tiny store but it works.

Prices are reasonable & portions are large. Grab some hot fresh tortillas in the coolers by the front registers.

Menu varies on weekends but we ordered the steak torta & carnitas plate with a big side of nopales. Bold & flavorful taste, this'll definitely be a regular stop after a day at the Little Elm beach.

Even though it's a mad house, you can't beat the already premarinated meats that they sell. It's a small parking hard to get in and out of but worth the hassle.
I purchased many different meat items and products from this store and I've always been satisfied.

I’m in love with this meat market! They have everything you need! I came here with my friend the other day! Her mom was here from Mexico so we were getting a lot of meat to celebrate! We got pollo for pozole, and carnitas I’m pretty sure! I also got some coconut water! Everything was delicious! I definitely want to try to come back here sometime soon!

Very authentic Mexican meats "Cafe", they know some English but best if you know some Spanish :-) The line service was very fast and convenient. The menu was very easy to read. Less clear about which dish is what when looking at the line. The crew members were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The business was very clean. The chili relleno, tacos, and chicherones were accurate, hot and delicious. It was a very good experience. I will return.

I like this place. They have food products, a hot table for authentic Mexican food, a nice meat market, and veggies.
Their meat market will benefit more if they discount their prices a little. Raw whole chicken is $1.99, and that price two weeks ago was $1.77. .

Great place, for meat and the burritos are huge and a great price. They also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There is a small taqueria in the back with amazing tacos and more. The barbacoa gordita is the best I've ever had! Cooked perfectly and very flavorful.

Best place to get raw meat for the carne asada. I've been coming here since day one, will never go to any other meat market. Extremely kind staff. I highly recommend this place. Always packed. But for great reasons.

I love this place. They have generous servings. Your money goes a long way. As for shopping the meat department is affordable and so is the cheese. Hot fresh flour and corn tortillas and salsa.

The only complaint, I have gone there at 7am on Sunday and the fresh pan dulce was not out, just stale ones. And sometimes on weekend mornings I go about 9 and there are no impanadas. A shame because my husband says their cream cheese impanadas are almost as good as his late grandmother's, which he never said about any other empanadas.

I am in love with this place! Came in as I googled goat meat and I was not disappointed. I bought a small piece of the goat shoulder, some Pastor and A Pound Of The Marinated Fajitas. I air fried them and they came out delicious! You will not find better marinated fajitas in town I am being serious, the way they season it ; to perfection. The meat is very juicy and most importantly filling. Forget ordering food from a restaurant , come here to the Tapatio Meat Market; they already season the steak all you have to do is throw it in the fire and it will be amazing! The staff and butcher are super friendly and nice and made me feel welcomed! I will definitely come back. Thanks for the product and Hospitality.
