Great atmosphere, beer selection and friendly staff!

I love coming here on Friday afternoons for a beer after work. There are tables to sit at as a group or you can sit up at the bar.

It’s a warm environment and you feel comfortable. The selection is endless with all the different beers in the fridge and they always have something great on draft. The detail in the selection is appreciated!

Check this place out if you haven’t! You can also order carry out from the restaurant next door and eat it at The Whale Outpost.

Nice addition to the Haw Creek community. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. There's a great selection of bottled beers, ciders, sake, etc. from around the world. They also have eight beers on draft. The location is really well done with a nice bar and plenty of seating. I look forward to visiting this location again soon.

Wonderful bar- so many drink options and the guy working the bar was incredibly helpful in picking a drink based off our tastes. Cute vibes and some board games too. Definitely recommend!

I can't believe I didn't know this was here for about 6 months after it opened, when I was going to grab coffee at Pennycup next door on a regular basis. I LOVE this beer and wine shop that sits right in the middle of the neighborhood in Haw Creek. The staff are friendly, and it's a wonderful place to pop in for a drink on a weekend afternoon on the patio, or just to grab something to go!

The best selection of beer, wine, and more in East Asheville. More of a store than the WAVL location with shelves of to-go products, but there are plenty of comfortable spaces to have a drink: at the bar, outside, or in the cozy little side nook with tables and benches. There’s plenty odds and ends on the walls giving it an old-time general store feel and even a working pinball machine! A much-needed addition to Haw Creek.

This is a cozy spot with two seating areas and a patio. This location serves a variety of beverages so you're not trapped to just one breweries selection.

Why hasn't this place been around sooner!? Stopped by The Whale Outpost recently and really enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere was welcoming, with excellent options to choose from and bartender Caleb was knowledgeable and friendly. Great vibes and a true gem!

Cool place! This place seems to be a great fit for locals (like me) and guests. Much, much bigger than it looks on the outside. Phenomenal selection of craft beers (no Bud, Miller, Coors). 8 taps, bunch of seating (indoor and outdoor). Grab wings next door and sit here!

We stopped in last night, great selection of quality beers and wine. Caleb was great! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with selecting the styles you're looking for.

Love this place! Headed there later cause I see they have O'Hara Irish stout and in feeling Irish. Slainte!

Very relaxed and welcoming environment, great selection and helpful staff.

The value, however, seems to be a bit of a miss. 4 12oz beers came to $44 before tip. I love a good import, but $12 and $11 a can is outrageous. The markup here is incredible, and I’m hoping to find some better pours that don’t exclude those with a modest income: I’ll be sure to update my review if I can find some reasonable options on my next visit.

Really love this new place! It’s got a great vibe, lots of bottle options, friendly staff, and good drinks on tap. My partner and I had a wonderful time here. So glad this place is now in Haw Creek!

Haw Creek getting another great addition. Very cool beer selection, and always changing. Pretty legit wine and mead selects too. Can't wait to see what this place is going to offer in the future. Jesse(the owner)? I think is his name, cool guy, and has a great outlook on Asheville location. A must see in the ville!

Calling all Haw Creek soccer moms and washed up hipster dads! This amazing spot in downtown Haw Creek guarantees to erase all your suburban stress with the pour of a trendy IPA! Rumor has it that wearing a trucker hat and a shirt from Goodwill makes the beer taste even better ;) Oh, and be sure to come with an obscure indie band song request and musings on capitalism’s flaws!

Great location in a local neighborhood that offers quality brews and amazing music choices. The bartender was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. As wit any Whale location, expect a top notch craft beer experience!

An undiscovered gem. A sister location of the whale in West Asheville, this location has just as wide a selection of brews and is in a kick backed, residential area... right next to Creekside Tavern. Will definitely become one of my gotos

One of the best selections of Beer in Asheville including an eclectic mix of sours and wine. Bigger than it looks inside. Pinball machine is a plus and the staff is pretty friendly!
