The Running Elements

We went here for new shoes for my husband. He has wide feet and his doctor recommended he get better shoes to help him with his ACL recovery. Helen was very helpful. She had him step on their feet machine and found out the what he exactly needed in a shoe. Because his feet are so wide they do need to special order them and stated she would contact us soon. I also ended up using the foot machine and found out ive been wearing the wrong size my whole life. I purchased new shoes and I am very happy with the purchase. Thank you Helen!

I walked in experiencing foot pain from plantar fasciitis and walked out nearly pain free! Helen was so kind and knowledgeable. After scanning my foot, I was provided several options for shoes. Helen was patient and educated me as I tried on each one. I ended up purchasing two pairs of shoes and some socks to help with my recovery. I absolutely loved the personalized experience and felt truly taken care of. My husband and I will be coming here for all of our sneakers from now on!

I’m a new runner and going into specialty stores of any kind can be a little intimidating, but Jen was super helpful! She was knowledgable, friendly, and truly made it a great experience! I was properly sized for shoes and even though they were sold out of the color way I wanted, she was able to special order it for me. Can’t wait to pick them up and I can’t wait to recommend this place as much as I can!

I have bought many pairs of shoes here, the staff is very knowledgeable and personable. They have a great selection of shoes, accessories, socks, fuel, and clothing. On Tuesdays they have group runs for all ages and distances and paces. They also are locally owned and operated. I highly recommend checking them out for all your running or walking needs.

Peter is the. Owner and serious street cred runner. Got some new running shoes. This business only caters to customers who want high quality shoes and running gear and clothing. Located a block off the square. I'll go back.

Helen was fantastic! Numerous foot surgeries and orthodics and she fit me perfectly in appropriate New Balance walking shoes. In addition guided me to the right style Oofos that will allow me comfort in my home. Highly recommend this friendly, cozy shop!

Our experience here was great. This is a full service store! The sales clerk fitted us, using a device that not only measured our feet, but checked how our weight was distributed to better recommend the right fit.
We’re both very active. I got walking shoes, they’re the cushiest most comfortable ones I think I’ve ever had. husband got court and walking.

I’ve been coming to the running element for about a year now. My experience has always been spectacular. Peter and his wife are avid long distance runners themselves. When they recommend a shoe, it’s because they believe it’s the right shoe. Every shoe I’ve worn for marathons, down to 5ks never left my feet hurting. Thank you so much.

I called the store and a very professional and courteous woman gave me the rundown over the phone. Literally 15 minutes later she is measuring me and provided a few options to solve my problem! Awesome local running store. I've purchased multiple pairs of shoes from Pete and his team. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They are also huge supporters of the local running community. As a coach of 70 plus athletes, I will not send my runners anywhere else.

An awesome experience from beginning to end. Was greeted by the owners and they really know their stuff! Learned a lot throughout the fitting process which included a gait analysis on the treadmill. Found an awesome pair of Hoka shoes, and really appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me or push anything on me. It seemed they were genuinely interested in me and not their bottom line or shuffling me through the queue like at big box stores. The renovated old building is really cool too, right in the heart of downtown Ocala. Had such a positive experience and am considering checking out their run club on Tuesday at 6pm. Seems this place is truly at the heart of running community. Highly recommend and will be back!

Excellent customer service! Jen helped my wife and I choose the perfect running shoes. She went above and beyond to show us our running gate to fit us in the appropriate shoe type. Great selection. Love our On brand shoes. This is the only place in Ocala that sells On brand locally. We could immediately tell a difference in foot comfort.

Pete and Jen went above and beyond to help me with my shoe purchase. I had been looking everywhere for a particular pair of shoes and they were able to get the exact pair I was looking for!! They are very knowledgeable and even more importantly, they are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Running Elements in Ocala to anyone with their running gear needs!

I was looking for shoes that my doctor recommended and they had them at a competitive price (plus they are local which is great). They were helpful and knowledgeable in choosing shoe size and let me try some out (the sizing was a perfect fit!). If they don't have a color that you like or wanted they will try to find something for you--the pair I ended up buying wasn't the color I was originally looking (I did like them nonetheless, so I got them) and I remember they said they could order it since they didn't have it at the store. Also just a note since they are downtown, there is a free parking lot not too far from the store maybe a 3 minute walk give or take on the wait by the light.

I was able to run my first marathon with the help and expertise of Running Elements! They were able to help find the perfect shoes for my under pronation which relieved my knee pain! Thanks so much! I could not have completed the race without you!

Such a great place to shop. Pete and Jenn are very knowledgeable and caring. Had answers to all of my questions. Tons of options and had all of my needs for upcoming races.
