African Caribbean Grocery Store is an African store where you can find all your African foods at affordable prices. The owner and his wife will go beyond and above what’s needed to please their customers. We used to travel to Missouri before this store open in Lawrence. What a blessing to have them in Lawrence.

My husband is Nigerian and this grocery store made him incredibly happy! The owners of the store are lovely and so kind. I was impressed with the selection of items available! And the prices were favorable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a taste of Nigeria! Thanks for making my husband find comfort from his home country! He’s already making pepper soup with what he bought at the store!

Edit: We recieved a call back from the business and were able to return for a visit. We were able to buy some food that reminded us of our trip to Jamaica and the folks were really helpful. I'm sure we will be back.

I hope to come back after my first visit to give a real rating. My husband and I drove an hour to visit the store and we had a hard time finding it, especially using the photo of the where the store is located. The actual store is on the lower level of the building. It is not where the photo indicates. We didn't get to go in, as the store is closed, for President's day I assume. There was no sign indicating why they weren't open during business hours. Hopefully, I can get back soon to adjust this review. I felt like it would be helpful to those that are trying to locate the store. 😊
