This is a serious Fishermen's store.if your looking for the right gear for most fishing situations. If you have questions on anything pertaining to fishing the local Waters, tackle, rods, reels, rigging and accessories. This is the store for you. From the owner, to the manager, to the sales assistants, they are all knowledgeable and experienced fishermen who spend a lot of time!e on the water. They love to help their customers catch fish and will do everything possible to make them successful fishermen.

Great fishing store! Several employees there at any given time and the knowledge they have of the local area inshore and offshore is amazing. Everyone is extremely friendly, and they make sure you buy just what you need for your trip and give you great recommendations.

Seriously Appointed. While up from Charlotte Harbor on a day-trip to the area, what's a guy to do while the family is touring the Dali Museum: been there, done that. Of course, shop for tackle. I had been on the search for the elusive new Shimano Stradic.

First, this has to be one of the best stocked tackle shops I have ever stepped inside, and in my mid-60's, that's quite a few, especially for an independently owned shop. Whether you're serious offshore for big game or an inshore guy like me, you're going to find what you're looking for.

The staff couldn't have been better: unobtrusive yet available. They're knowledgable and helpful and I would guess, serious fishermen themselves. Eventually, they put me on a call-list for when the new reels would become available, and being sanctioned Shimano dealers, I'm certain that'll get them soon.

Of course I had to make a few purchases; a variety of hard to find Owner weighted twist-lock hooks for my Z-Man plastics and some NLBN heads for some 'Lil Mullets. By the way, their collection of NLBN is impressive.

If you're in the area, you won't be disappointed, and if you shop online, their selection and their prices are comparable to the big-guys. As a small business owner myself, I'll always choose to spend my money with an independent.

I’m a local St Pete resident. Just wanted to give DogFish tackle a 5 star review. I bought a rod about three weeks ago and this morning the tip broke off while fishing with a small mangrove snapper on the line. brought the broke rod back to them right after leaving the water. They explain how this could happen and they replaced the rod. Still great service and knowledgeable staff.I always recommend them to other locals and my fishing groups. Keep up the good work !

This is the place....for everything fishing and more! I have trusted these guys for 20 year's I bet. 1st on the go to list. I needed a Penn lube kit to recondition my reel it was 11.99 same price as Dfbt.

This place is great. Super knowledgeable super great staff. Selection out the door. I have bought Speedmaster shimano's from them when they were out of stock even online at Shimano. Not a new customer. Have bought from them from years and will continue.

This shop is fantastic. I drive 45 minutes to get here because it is worth it for the selection and the great staff.

Just stopped in to purchase my first fishing pole. Told the guy my budget and he helped me find the perfect set up for me whole also answering all the questions i had as well. Even after i paid he made sure to let me know I can come back anytime or call with any questions, tips or anything I need to make sure my fishing experience goes well! Phenomenal customer service. Ive been to all the other tackle shops around and this place is by far the best one. Many of the other smaller shops lack the inventory and the bigger places seem to be lacking the knowledge, but not here. Not only do they have a huge selection for the size, but the staff is very knowledgeable, you can tell they realy know fishing, its more than just thier job.
Most recently Rob helped me find a new fishing pole, he walked me through all the various models and thier features to choose. I am very happy with the new combo I got, thank you💪

We just move in Pinellas Park and found this fantastic fishing shop full of everything we need. Rob help us to find the right bites and gave us a lot of info on how to properly use them. Kindly and helpful staff, great location and affordable prices. Absolutely recommended !!

I am an avid freahwater angler but new to saltwater fishing and wanted to get some advice. Kris and Danny were incredible. Kris helped me get set up with a rod and reel perfect for fishing the beach. He got me what I needed and didn't try to push items I didn't. I was very appreciated all the help. I would highly recommend Dogfish for the novice or experienced angler. My wife was also very impressed with the level of knowledge and service provided which has made our vacation much more enjoyable. Also want to say they have very competitive pricing.

Great place for all your fishing needs. The staff there are very knowledgeable. Unlike some places that just hire staff, these guys hire anglers. My first time there was a perfect experience. It was great going into a place where they know every detail about what they are selling. No high pressure, The guys working there are on the floor if you need help but also give you space to browse. These guys will put you in the absolute best gear for the budget you want to spend. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection they have. Prices are competitive and is well worth a few extra bucks to support a local family business that is so involved with the local anglers even if you can find the same things a could dollars cheaper at an online store although I checked online prices I didn't see anything more than 10 bucks cheaper for a rig that was over 400 bucks. Support a local business that supports the local anglers.
