Denver Central Games

I had hopes and dreams of building a dumb frog deck because I simply just like frogs, the staff took five hours total over two days theory crafting and helping me pick singles for a deck I could use in casual play.

Sure the prices may have been a bit more competitive online, but they were able to go through my 150 card list and build a workable deck with what I brought in and was able to take the cards home that day.

Super eclectic crew, they know their stuff and seems like a cool place to go throw down some cards.

I'm 64 years old and could be most of the mtg players mom or grandma, but everyone treats me great. I frequently ask the staff questions and they are very helpful. I am also handicapped, the staff is great and accommodating. I have a lot of fun and I get to share the good old days. I like to play prerelease here. I would highly recommend Denver Central Games.

Called here yesterday looking for a very hard to find warhammer character. They had it. When I told the gentleman working that I might not make it before they close, he said to try anyways if I'm close by at closing time call him and he would stay open until I got there. I made it in time, but, that's how you do business. Great guy very friendly in person too. Didn't catch a name but kudos sir you earned a customer for life.

I come in from time to time on Mondays and Thursdays, edh nights. Man oh man, the employees are super dope. They don't rush you to do anything, they are patient and understanding if you don't remember the card you're looking for. Price range seems legit for cards I've purchased over the years.

The players are a different breed, they have decks galore. It makes it so fun to experience so many different types of decks. Last I was there, the gentlemen I played with were super courteous about the power level we played at, they helped me if I made a misplay to see the better play that could have been made and we shared many laughs. Even one dude gave me something and his motto was "sharing is caring."

They have a row of board games to check out so even if you aren't there for magic, Pokémon, Warhammer or dnd you can still find some awesome boardgames you won't find at general stores (target, Walmart or walgreens.) Definitely worth the visit.

This place is great. They care about magic the gathering as much as the players that come in and it shows. Lots of experience and very kind and helpful. Very fair with their trade policy and usually have what your looking for in regards to singles. Game nights I believe every night so please go check them out!

Excellent place for MTG! My son's and I have been coming here for a few years now (on & off) and the staff has always been great. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. If you're looking for single cards I can honestly say only one time have they not had a card I was looking for. If you're looking to build a new deck, head in during the afternoon while it's a bit quieter and they will happily sit down with you and filter your ideas down to a super fun deck that will fit your budget. As for their prices? Well it seems as they are somewhat contested. Sure the web can be cheaper, sometimes, depending on shipping. However they are running a brick and mortar shop that not only provides great service, but also supports community. Go in there on the weekend and the place is bustling with real people, having real interactions with each other, and having a real good time. And in today's society that is a little hard to come by, and in my opinion well worth my support.

This is a great LGS! They do organized play events that run smoothly and are always fun. You can preorder boxes, and they have tons of singles to buy from. Just be careful expressing your opinions around them, as the staff here are the most discerning MTG connoisseurs that ever walked the earth and they will tell you exactly what they think. Just know ahead of time that you are wrong and your opinions are wrong ;)

The employees are pretty cool laid back guys. Mitch and Cody are typically the ones I interact and see the most there, and are pretty amazing dudes. Both are incredibly knowledgeable and are always up to helping make a new deck with various card knowledge, even so far as to asking a budget and being able to recommend great cards to fit that. Though I don't see him as often, Phil is a great guy as well. He's pretty awesome and has a great store in my opinion.

I can't say enough good things about the people here. They've been there for every time I've quit, restarted, quit, and restarted MTG. I have been to q few other places, and honestly, they just don't seem to have the fountains of knowledge that these employees possess. Theres a reason I've come here for years and hope to keep coming here in years to come.

Fantastic store for buying single MTG cards. If you spend $30 on singles, you get a free booster pack! Very helpful staff, it's free to play there but I like to buy at least a booster when I go in to support them. Hope to find people to play with there someday.

I brought my Black Lotus into Denver Central Games today to get it inspected for authenticity- I wasn’t sure if it was real or fake. The friendly staff ran a couple of tests on it for free and gave me next steps if I wanted to get it officially authenticated. They were really friendly and knowledgeable. A great place for all things MTG in Denver. The store was clean (especially the carpet) and smelled nice too. Card prices were competitive with online shops. I even got to select a booster pack out of the Mystery Box for purchasing a card over $30. This isn’t the MTG local gaming store that Denver needs... this is the MTG store Denver deserves.

Love this place. Ownership is fantastic and local. 15% off DnD books. Tons of MTG singles, with knowledgeable staff and regulars. Why buy online and send your money to who-knows-where?

Awseome Magic shop that also does Warhammer and Pokémon. I was able to build out my deck without ordering anything online. They have a ton of play space and staff that works hard to organize singles and manage events. Excellent Local Game Store!

I come here for all my MTG needs. Whether singles , boxes or decks. Ive brought them multiple decks and they give me advice on cards i can use to enhance the deck. I love that they love magic as much as i do and are willing to help teach me to be a better player. Looking for Magic the Gathering? They are your guys!

Sold to DCG in large portion on their commander Monday. Despite a staffing error causing them to be very busy, staff was funny and friendly and the community livened up the shop. I will be recommending this location at my work for both shopping and playing for sure. If I ever get back into cardboard this will be the place I go. Thanks!

Great place for board games and MTG. Great selection of board games, and very large MTG collection as well. The staff is snarky, but super helpful and fun to be around. Their MTG prices are whatever SCG has online, so you can easily price out a deck before you purchase in store.

Very good card selection when it comes to Magic the Gathering. The employees are straightforward and know their stuff. It's a good place for people who are a little bit older and don't want to be stuck around it Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon kids.

Tucked away and a bit of an adventure to find it features a good amount of space and friendly staff. I had a long lay over in denver and they treated me like a local, took great care of me. Definitely a great spot if you are looking to burn some day light slinging painted cardboard rectangles.

Mitch and Steve were great. I play MTG and they helped with all my questions and even sat down to help with deck building. Good prices and really great atmosphere. Plan on returning and worth checking out.

An always great customer experience from what I consider to be one of the better game shops in the area. Wide selection of both singles and sealed product as well as a friendly and knowledgeable staff that can help even the most seasoned of players.
