El Quetzal

I love El Quetzal for my favorite ingredients and affordable treats. I was able to call and inquire if they had specific items in stocks for my holiday recipes and check my list off after my visit. Please stop by and check out what they have to offer!

I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good, Guatemalan, Mexican and Salvadoran products. I purchased Chorizo, we up graded our Chorizo dish by using “Mexican Pork Chorizo” combined with “Salvadorian Pork Chorizo” to give more of chunky meaty taste. Of course we added Papas y Huevos (Potatoes and Egg) also dried Chile de Arbol, sliced Jalapeños, sliced Roma Tomatoes, garnished with fresh, Cilantro, and topped with dark red Chile de Arbol Salsa. It’s okay to use my recipe 😃

The Chile de Arbol Salsa I made, I purchased the dried Chiles also at El Quetzal. As a matter fact, I buy all my Latin spices here. On the weekends, they make awesome Guatemalan, Tamales, and soon they will be opening up a restaurant here I can’t wait!!!

The atmosphere is laid-back, the people are very friendly and professional. They’re always willing to help and point out products.

I am so very pleased to have found this fabulous store with genuine products from Central America. In particular, Guatemalan. I was able to find queso fresco, Guanabana juice, Ducal products, plataninas, and found out that on certain weekends, they have genuine comida tipica, such as chuchitos, tamales, rice and beans etc. The service was so awesome, thank you!
