Out of the Closet - Orlando

My wife had some really nice garments she wanted to donate and we decided to try “Out of the Closet” on Mills Avenue. What a gem, this place is simply fabulous. It is so organized, clean and feels as if you are shopping in an upscale boutique. Items are clean and displayed in a manner that makes you feel like the staff really care about their work here as opposed to folks who are forced to contribute their time. Eden who helped us out was friendly, informative and helped me get our purchase into the car. If you have some gently used items that you are thinking of donating bring them to Out of the Closet where your good will is going to be truly appreciated and helpful to a great cause worldwide. Once again, this place is fabulous, stop by when you can, you will be glad you did.

My husband and our son enjoy thrift shopping on our Sundays and wanted to try out a new place we haven't been to before. We found this shop on Google and wanted to check it out. When we first arrived we had to wait for a parking spot as it's a small parking lot with maybe less than 10 spots not counting the handicapped spots. However, the wait was worth it. The workers are so kind and friendly. The shop is so neat and organized by color for all of their areas. My husband said the color organization works for everything but the clothes since trying to find your size seems more difficult but we didn't mind it. Everything was priced so reasonable. We will definitely be back again. The bag in the picture was $10. What a steal!

My recent visit to "Out of the Closet" thrift store in Orlando was nothing short of a jackpot! I snagged an authentic Big Lebowski bathrobe for just seven dollars, crafted in Turkey – a must-have for any Jeff Lebowski devotee. It's the real deal and completes my quest to live the Lebowski life.

A quick note of caution: inquiring about their bathroom situation might not lead to good news, as they don't offer public bathrooms. On the flip side, my shopping spree also included a captivating ceramic octopus that now graces my office. These creatures, often underappreciated, are beautiful, smart, and truly wonderful.

I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to "Out of the Closet." Trust me, your life could take on a whole new meaning, and who knows, your hair might just shine a little brighter! Don't miss out on this unique thrift store experience.

I want to commend the staff at this store. I had a large amount of items to check out. They all pitched in to check me out to make it go faster. They were not rude about it like other local thrift stores. They even helped me bring the bags to my vehicle. What a breath of fresh air.

Lovely thrift store!! Staff were friendly and the store is welcoming with great music playing. I appreciated that they had a larger home goods section than other thrift stores and you can tell they sift through the items to put the better stuff out. Particularly, there was a lot of great dish and glassware for a bargain. I got a small ceramic dinner plate and cuisinart wisk for $1 each, a picture frame for $2, and a gallon glass jug with pump for $5. Pricing was totally fair imo and it goes to a great cause!

There are bigger thrift stores in town but this one may be my favorite . It's organized, the selection of items for sale is well curated and I never leave without treasures .... like the beautiful Italian plates I scored on my last visit. (I also hit the $1 and 25-cent racks for clothes that I can
wear to work around the house -- though I have sometimes scored workworthy trousers or tops as well) The staff are all friendly and it's great to have a reminder of the store's critical mission right there in the store.

Super nice thrift store with decent prices and good selection! Staff went out of their way to get an item priced for me. Service alone made the experience great.

Absolutely wonderful. A smaller thrift store compared to mega thrift stores, but so well curated that what they lack in size, they make up for in quality. And price! Example: 25 cent CDs. I was only there for an hour but happily left with bag of goodies, for approximately $13!

Stopped by for the first time to get tested really quick, and the store actually really amazed me! Everything is donated and the store is curated very well and is super clean! Going to be back to test again and this time thrift!

Went there to get tested. Was extremely nervous since it was my first time being out, usually do at home test kits. Dr. Brown was extremely kind and patient with me, helped calm my anxious down and made my experience all the better. Had a great conversation, cracked a few good jokes, and overall had a great experience. Definitely recommend coming here to either shop, or get tested!

I absolutely love thrifting at the store! There is always an amazing quality of variety of clothing Home Goods and music and books. I doubt I've ever left there without anything. And donations are always needed. I donate almost every single week. I can say on behalf of my roommate 5x's are hard to find but when I do find them I find them at the shop and they're always in excellent condition.
And the staff is always helpful to unload your car and grateful for the donations. The staff inside are constantly working to make everything perfect and an enjoyable experience for all. It's a great cause and it's a great place.

Such a great space! A variety of goods at actual thrifty prices. The staff is SO friendly and the space is CLEAN. I purchased a Ralph Lauren sweater, a picture frame and a baking dish all for $7!!Will 100% be coming back and donating to.

One of my favorite thrift stores - have a variety of items, books, and clothes. Everything is reasonably price, if not super cheap and they have a sales rack, along with different colored tags being discounted.
Whenever I go, I find amazing deals for super cute stuff.
