I recently had a wonderful experience at the UPS Store in Dana Point and I'm thrilled to give it a 5-star review. The staff there is consistently friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasant one. What impressed me the most was the efficiency of their service; I was in and out in no time. Having tried other UPS stores in the area, I can confidently say that the Dana Point location is the best. If you're looking for a top-notch UPS store, this is definitely the one to choose.

Wade, the owner, strives to know his clients and treats us with so much care. This store is a cut above the rest with the new crew. I have never been to a postal place that I'm actually happy to walk in. SO thankful!

I have always had a great experience at this location. Everyone is fast, knowledgeable and friendly. I have a UPS location closer to my home but choose to go to this one for those reasons. Highly recommend.

I probably use this store two to three times a week, for mailing, special services, business services, packing and sending awkward items... and every experience has been positive. Abba especially takes every transaction with total focus, and asks the right questions so that I can decide what I want to spend, and insure, and mail timely.
Its sad that these rating sites seem to attract complainers, satisfied customers don't think about the need to rant and post. I give UPS at Monarch Beach Plaza an A+

Excellent customer service & always go the extra mile when my box# isn’t on mail. The location is very busy & some customers come in with demanding attitudes expecting VIP treatment.

I mainly use UPS for Amazon package returns and have total confidence in the service at this location to handle correctly every time. Great owners / operators, friendly, reliable.

I don't understand the negative reviews for this location. I was greeted and helped by two knowledgeable and efficient gentlemen... They were very polite! I recommend this location over another one a few miles up the road. 👍

Decided to get a passport pictures since it was close to me. The strange thing was the guy was holding the pictures while wanting me to pay. I asked to see the pictures before paying. The pictures was not clear with blotchy color non white background. I would have refused to pay but decided to pay so as not to create a stressful environment. I have taken passport pictures from various locations and nothing was a bad as this.
Environment was not welcoming too.
Update: The passport pictures were NOT accepted since it did not fulfill the criteria.

This UPS store is to be avoided as you can see from other reviews. The manager there couldn’t be more rude and unprofessional. He was a complete bully to me. I have had several encounters with him now. I am disgusted and plan on reporting him to UPS franchise corporation.

The man behind the counter was snippy. He acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about when I wanted to send some materials to my office in Austin. He said the office does not exist. I have been to my office several times—it exists! He could have been so much nicer and chose to be rude. He asked me to Google the location, couldn’t he do that? And if his system didn’t have it, what would that prove? I took my business somewhere else and won’t be back. The guy was weird.

Don’t come here within an hour of closing unless you want to be treated with very little patience. Showed up at 5:10 (they close at 6) and I asked them to print a shipping label I had in photo form. Banners all over the store saying they offer printing, yet they couldn’t figure out how to print a simple photo. I’m baffled. I then converted it to a PDF. They still struggled, but Xando stuck with it and thankfully he figured it out. Super bad vibes from the manager, he made me feel bad for even being there. I will stick to my local UPS in Laguna Beach where they are all smiles.

Old owners were delightful and like family. But the new owner/franchisee is an officious oaf, with bad manners, a contentious demeanor and he is just nasty. I feel sorry for his employees and I feel sorry for UPS, because this guy is brand damaging. Latest episode is that he would not let us use tape to seal a box and went into a long explanation of his problems. We left it unsealed in case they wanted to verify contents before shipping. Anyway, he's a total tool. Avoid this shop.

Rudest young lady. Blonde 5/1612:20p.
There was an elderly woman Coming on to location with 3 bigger packages. She had placed them into a buggy because she couldn't carry them. I proceeded to help her with the door. Instead of offering to help the young lady yells at her to not bring the buggy in... In which I replied she's not gonna be able to carry them herself which she answered well they've broken the door before....
I told her well it's not like she would be able to carry these herself, So the young lady mumbled something under her breath, said something smart to the young man at the counter and then decided that she was going to come over and help once I had already grabbed the packages for the lady.
The young man is the one that helped me with my small package.
To be scolded for trying to help somebody that couldn't Lift the packages herself as beyond me. shame on you.

As you can see from the other reviews, this business is one to avoid. The manager Wade is extremely unprofessional and rude. I’ll be filing a complaint with UPS corporate office letting them know how poorly their franchise is being represented.

The manager and the lady working there are very rude. Very Unfriendly .

I'm acquiring a vietnamese domain name and needed to have a document (half English, half vietnamese) notarized. Being a notary myself, I knew that I needed a Jurat which says I swear the contents of the document are true and honest versus a standard acknowledgement notary which verifies my signature. I entered the UPS store to a very grumpy old lady, named Abba Ko (store manager). I told her I needed a notary and she asked for my ID and told me to sign the document. There is no place to sign the document so I told her I was looking for a Jurat and not an Acknowledgment. She must have felt threatened by this because she immediately told me it couldn't be done. Now I felt like I had to go on the defensive and educate her on proper notary policy. I went to my car, got the correct forms and book that she should have had. Upon my return, her attitude shifter to complete rudeness. Which, made me more angry. I became short and just said to do it as she felt comfortable because I needed to get it done.
As our conversation heated up, a young boy, assuming its Abba's son, came out from the corner all puffy chest like he wanted to fight me saying why am I being rude. Well...it started when the manager, Abba, refused to follow standard notary public service policy. Anyways...now things got really heated and they start accusing me of being a liar and start saying "you people" at me as if I was part of a bigger group of troublemakers, perhaps even racist. So I called them out on that and they just started laughing at me and kicked me out. Refused my business. Not that it really matters, I'll never shop here again. On the way out, we both dropped F bombs and filmed each other with smartphones. The kid walked out with me and we almost got into a fist fight. I was very close to letting lose but decided it wasn't worth it over a $10 notary.
I'd recommend staying far away from this place. Management is crap. A notary is a simple task and should have never escalated. Will definitely be emailing their corporate team.

We missed the previous owners,they were way more friendlier and helpful. This d.head dude thinks he is a federal judge, doesn't even know how to talk to costumers , sorry to see this happening at one of our family's favorite ups store.
