Bear Wallow Distillery

This place is a hidden gem. Plenty of moonshine flavors that you won’t find anywhere else, and a nice selection of aged whiskey from bourbon to rye to cask strength and aged bourbons finished in different barrels. Prices are reasonable and even the cocktails are amazing. Really can’t wait to go back and take a tour.

Great little distillery with some quality Bourbons available. The tasting session is well worth it, and you get to try some excellent micro-brewed alcohols. There is also a small shop with many interesting items on sale.

1st time going today. Very impromptu and didn't know what to expect. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will be back.

Saw the sign on the highway and decided to turn in. This was one of my better decisions for the day. Tasting was very reasonably priced.Scott was very knowledgeable and honest about the products and did a great job guiding use through our choices bases on what we told him we liked. The selection and quality of their aged whiskey was good. We ended up taking home 3 bottles. The variety of flavored moonshine was also incredible. We will venture off 65 to visit again.

Austin led us through a tasting and was super knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up buying a bottle of their single barrel, barrel proof offering that was delicious.

If you're ever nearby, definitely stop in and visit this craft distillery that does things the right way.

Easy to find. Great selection of whiskey and moonshine. Workers were friendly and also good selection of drinking/sports/holiday items for sale, too.

Visited Bear Wallow on a recent trip. Had the opportunity to meet the owner and sample a flight of their whiskeys. My personal favorite bourbon is Weller 12 & I prefer wheated, full flavored spirits. That said, I was very impressed with their handmade products. Particularly enjoyed the Gnawbone Single barrel. My friends have been equally impressed.

We went to Bear Walliw for the first timeon September 23rd with friends. Our friends had been to the big distilleries and said this was one of the best tours they had been on. The owner's husband led the tour and was very informative and fun. My husband I
aren't big bourbon drinkers, but they had cocktails made from their hooch that we fell in love with. We will be back!

Excellent whiskey, rye, and flavored hooch. Enjoyed the tasting and great unique items in the shop. Don't miss the salt scrub in the bathroom!

Visited earlier today and spent time with Susan (Owner). Wonderful story of how this company was started, she spent time explaining everything, and answered all of our questions. She knows her products and gave us great insight into all of them. Bought a bottle of their Gnaw Bone 100 proof bourbon to enjoy with our family on our upcoming vacation. Would highly recommend a visit to this distillery and tasting. 👍

Incredibly good single barrel bouron and rye as well as excellent tastings. Well definitely be back.

Small spot off the main road was perfect for a post mtb ride drink! The bourbon ginger bear really hit the spot in the heat of the summer. Their small sample of the single barrel bourbon had some heat but something I could definitely get behind. Definitely worth the stop if you are near by!

First time there. The wife and I tried the tasting flights. We enjoyed it. We plan on returning for the full tour.

Off the beaten path but well worth it. Susan was very knowledgeable and both her and the gentleman inside made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend trying the cocktails and there is lots of cute gift items to take home for souvenirs.

The selection they have at this distillery is pretty amazing and the great staff is there to help with any decision or questions. You can take a tour of distillery. Then you can do flights of the different brands or get a cocktail or two made. The Bourbons that they have a pretty darn good especially the 128 proof one. I also highly recommend the apple pie and raspberry moonshine. They're unlike any of the others I've tried before!

The people here are amazing! Tour was very informative and interesting. This is a must go for anyone that comes to Brown County. Straight bourbon is DELICIOUS!!

Outstanding experience. The owner say with us and told us all about the history of the distillery. The Bourbon was great and the mixed drinks were as well. The whole staff was extremely friendly and took the time to help my wife pick a drink. Highly recommend stopping by for a bottle or drink if you are nearby.
