I don't know why this store was rated so low because my experience here has been excellent. In particular, the pharmacist, Duane, bent over backwards to help me fill a difficult prescription. I would highly recommend asking for him if you ever have any issues getting prescriptions taken care of properly. My rating - Five stars!

I honestly don’t know why the rating is so low. I’ve had a much more responsive experience with this location than most. You can actually speak with the pharmacy without holding for half an hour, and they are very fast and efficient. The fact that they answer the phone at all warrants at least a 4 star. But the staff are always helpful and friendly, deserving of a 5 in my experience.

As a blind person. I love shopping and using the pharmacy at this Walgreens on the corner of Platt and Hyde Park Ave. in Tampa, Florida. The staff in the Pharmacy and the staff in the store is always happy to help me when I need it. And they respect me as a blind person. And they love my Guide dog. So I give five stars out of five.

The pharmacist and pramacist treat youz as equal and give you full respect.i live in Temple terrace yet still travel to them because of how they treat up. You will never find a better pharmacist. She is the all time greatest!!

I know many reviews have shared their bad experiences at the pharmacy. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I have never had a negative experience at this Walgreens, and I shop there probably once a week. In fact, I would like to give up special shout out to Angelina in the pharmacy department. The pharmacy can be a hectic place, but she patiently helped me synchronize my Walgreens app to my existing account. She was professional, pleasant and very efficient.

I would like to amend this review to thank pharmacist Duane for his assistance in helping me find the right treatment for my contact dermatitis. Duane took his time, walked me over to the correct aisle, and told me the pros and cons of each option. I learned a lot. Thank you, Duane.

So many bad reviews here so I thought I should share my very good experience--I was from out of town, got an emergency RX phoned in from my doctor, walked down to the pharmacy and picked it up. I had to wait 5 minutes or so.

The reviews here are so bad that I almost went way further away (and I was walking!) but glad I just went to this nearby pharmacy.

I don’t usually write reviews but we stopped in here after a very long day of travelling and we had such a pleasant experience with the staff member Richie. Richie assisted and rung us up and he was so kind and put smiles on our faces. Thank you Richie!

I am a regular customer of the pharmacy in Walgreens on Platt, they are a critical part of my life. Let me take this opportunity to offer my sincere gratitude for the 5 star effort they give every single interaction. No matter how busy, no matter what time of day and certainly no matter how challenging a refill is (difficulty with insurance or physician response) this team is committed to serving the customers. Thank you to those I see regularly, Edie, Jeffrey and others. Also a special thank you to Caliope, Pharmacy manager. She is an extraordinary asset to Walgreens - inspiring others and working so hard to solve problems. This pharmacy is unbelievably busy, a normal group of employees could not take the constant pressure. This week was extra challenging for me and Cali dedicated herself to help me get what I needed. Her entire team supported her efforts. As a manager myself, I understand the value of having a team like this representing the face of the company. A team like this and a manager like Cali. By the way - the few times I was at the store this week, I witnessed other customers observe the same things and I heard people give words of appreciation and encouragement to the team. Amazing to behold. Walgreens could not possibly be paying them enough!

Went to the photo counter to pick up a print and a younger gentleman was working. He politely informed me that he was new in this position and called over his manager, Matt. I did not catch his name, but him and Matt were extremely friendly and had my photo printed for me in seconds, even though my order was not ready for pick up.
This was a complete turnaround from the experience I had at the photo counter just yesterday. When I arrived yesterday my prints were not ready that had been placed two days prior. The lady standing at the counter was apparently on her break. She cut me off and told me to “press the button for assistance”. The man that walked over did not say a word but just a blank stare. I told him I was picking up and he informed me “they” didn’t print it so he said it would be a minute. Him and the lady who was originally rude to me began to argue right in front of me and a few other guests waiting at the counter. Overall, two very unfriendly and unprofessional employees.
I’m happy to see that you’re moving people with great customer service up to positions they deserve. Five stars for Matt and the new guy, ZERO for the two employees I unfortunately encountered yesterday.

I love this Walgreens! Kahlil went ABSOLUTELY above and beyond to help my parents with getting the correct medications. All of the staff I encountered was great, Yi when I asked to speak with the store manager Rick asked no questions and got him immediately. The store was very busy so I was expecting a wait but he came out right away to speak with me. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had at Walgreens.

Nicole from the pharmacy was one of the best people I have ever interacted with in my 20+ years of going to Walgreens. I was having a lot of issues with refilling my prescription due to my recent move to Florida from the north. I became very frustrated after I made multiple trips to Walgreens that day in addition to being on hold for 45+ minutes and still no medication. Nicole went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved with my doctor and the pharmacy. She was extremely professional and nice, but more importantly patient and considerate to my needs. I really appreciated how Nicole went out of her way to help me. Thank you very much for your efforts, Nicole!

Update as of 8/7/2020: I truly appreciate the help provided and care shown by Megan, Sandra, and Kali. Thank you for your hard work and selfless efforts, especially during these uncertain times of the coronavirus pandemic.

The pharmacy was dead, the staff was too. As the young lady who haphazardly attempted to attend to my simple script drop off (I'm in the system and only come during the day and it's wonderful. Don't come at night) was unable to run her "checklist" that takes the professional and proficient day staff all of 3 minutes tops while it's busy and I'm carrying on a friendly conversation with them.

I went through the drive through window expecting this to be a "hello and goodbye" transaction as I was the only one there. However I was sadly mistaken when this young lady kept me waiting much longer than normal. No big deal, yet. She then vanished leaving me to wait longer. When she came back she didn't bother to say anything as I waited some more. I tapped on the window, informed her again that this was a simple drop off and had no plans on picking up the medication anytime soon and I'd like to go.

She replied very matter of fact that this was a process in which I needed to wait. Her lack of professionalism was off putting. I was dropping off the scripts. Keep them on file. I wanted to leave as she was blatantly wasting my time now and being rude. She brought her level down a bit and gave me the option to call me on my phone when she "figures it out" When I said "excellent!" she deflated at her suggestion and redirected me to speak with the pharmacist. Excellent again! Anything to get this drowning woman a life raft as she was taking me down with her.

She vanishes again. I'm left waiting while the pharmacy looks like it's closed at this point. I figure this defeats what I wanted to do which was to be in and out.. I drove to the front entrance door, the parking lot was empty also.

I went inside where I found the same young woman trash talking me to two of her colleagues in the pharmacy. I don't believe she was expecting me? My apologies for interrupting your rant. Here's mine, above and below.

As soon as she noticed me she was quick to address me now as to cover her tracks "The pharmacist is with someone." I answered "great" and I understood however did not understand as to why her process (the tech) was taking so long. I'm only dropping off for the third time. I began to wonder if I was I speaking English or Mandarin? 你好???

I've been getting medications for over 5 years. None of which have taken 10 painful minutes of my life while losing IQ along the way. I asked for my scripts back. I no longer trusted her for the job. She quickly produced them, while piggy back riding a rude remark. Saying she, "wasn't going to argue with me anymore" and stormed away. Her bad service = arguing in her head. This is now become a comedy show. Ma'am, you kept me there while I was trying to leave over 7 minutes ago. The level of professionalism was non existent. Keeping my scripts on file was well beyond this woman's capabilities. I was definitely baited into a situation I clearly didn't want to participate in.

That night shift (on 7/18/19 - 8 pm) was a disaster as none of the other two workers made an effort to interject to make a simple transaction simple again. The two staff members were staring at me blankly while the rude tech walked off... I asked the young woman's name, no answer. I asked one of the other workers, no answer again. I think the two workers staring at me blankly were just waiting on the popcorn to finish. I swear I felt like I entered into an episode of the twilight zone. Finally the rude worker snapped her head back my direction and spelled her name out loud all while walking away from me. Such skills she possessed. Unfortunately none of her skills applied to helping me get on with my night. Such wasted talent. I bet she made her spelling bee teachers proud once.

Update: The kind pharmacist from last night was unaware of the situation as she was administering a vaccine in a private room. She called me this morning and took full accountability for the staff. She was very genuine and professional in rectifying my situation. Her quick response and follow up was extremely appreciated at every level! Thank you!

A wonderful Walgreen's with very knowledgeable staff. They always seem incredibly busy whenever I come in, but my medications are always ready at the correct time without any issues (granted I'm only getting simple Rx's filled). Y'all do a great job! Keep up the good work!

The lead pharmacist, Sandra, was very accommodating. They were extremely busy and I needed to get my Rx filled right away and she was able to get it done within 20 minutes because of my situation. The entire staff is very friendly.

While traveling to Florida on a short Get a way. I forgot to pack my meds. I stoped by Walgreens on W Pratt close to down town. I spoke to the Pharmacy Manager Dr Kalippe Tsiroginnis , she made arrangements between my Mail order Phamacy and doctor in NY to make sure I was able to get a new prescriptions and partial to satisfy me while away. She went above and beyond to make a Walgreen customer happy. This is why shopping in your local market is important

Best Walgreen's in Tampa. Huge selection, very clean and fast, friendly service. Convenient to UT, TGH, Hyde Park and Downtown. On the way off Davis Island so great place to stop if you need an Rx after a visit to TGH.
