I love this store and the folks within. Great help on hand great deals all the time and stuff you can't find at your bigger brick and mortar cookie cutter warehouse retailers. Like a sales person that will stop and ask you if you need help instead of being on a wild vest chase isle after mile only to get the cabinet guy when you needed the carpet dude. I'm sure everyone can relate. The joint is always clean and stocked neatly. The store is packed with something for every tradesman.

Much bigger selection of products than I expected. A great variety of items and everyone is friendly and helpful.

This place has everything! From canning jars and cast iron skillets to plumbing elbows and electrical recepticals, this conveniently located hardware store carries pretty much everything you could want or need. The bonus? Friendly, helpful staff, just like you would expect at a small town store.

If you can't find it here your probably gonna have to order it and wait. Some items are slightly more expensive but in return they carry a lot of inventory. Also, they offer bulk pricing on propane over 20 gallons (I may be incorrect on exact amount but you will receive it when filling a large transportable 100lb cylinder not a grill type tank.)

Even though everything is so expensive these days they have still kept their prices at a moderate affordable price thanks Ace 😊

Great small town hardware store. They have a little bit of everything you need, from electrical and plumbing supplies to paint and hardware. Also rain boots, socks, greeting cards, decorative flags, a few basic pet supplies, lawn and garden supplies, plants, etc. At the counter, they even have old-fashioned candies. It reminds me of the old independent hardware stores of 50 years ago, updated. Prices are comparable to the large chain stores, especially if you add in the cost (time and money) of driving 30+ miles to the nearest one.

I had 3 sets of 3 keys made. The were very efficient, packaged identical keys together in small zip lock bag. Much better service than those selfserv kosic found at big box stores. Cheaper too.

Always helpful and knowledgeable staff available. It's a good mix of products for gardening, plumbing and electrical work. Still necessary to head to Lexington at times but thanks to Ace it's only once in a blue moon.

Purchased some frames on eBay one arrived with the glass broken, so I popped into my Ace hardware store to have a new one cut, easy peasy.

Bigger then it seems from the outside. Good selection of loose hardware, I was able to find the single O-ring I needed for my camping stove without having to buy a pack.

I am convinced there's a tunnel under the hardware store connected to the hardware equivalent of the warehouse in Indiana Jones. We've found specialty screws for antique handsaws, brass and stainless screws and nuts to replace old ones in the house we're fixing up, the exact grab bar screws for a grab bar we found at a Habitat for Humanity Restore, wood stove paint, copper fixtures, and replacement batteries for a cable fisher light. What's amazing is they know where everything is, and they carry the hardware stuff you'd expect in a small town hardware store but there's also hiking sticks, seasonal decorations, and BBQ stuff for an army. We even picked up wind-up toys. I am fully convinced that if I asked for the Ark of the Covinent they'd ask, "What size?" There's much to be said for an every thing hardware place in a town with one of the better kept secrets in the state--homes from Victoriansvto foursquares and bungalows with stunning views for a quarter of what you'd pay in Richmond or NOVA. Many were kit homes that came in on the railroad. With folks fixing up this collection of homes, this hardware store is a natural. For those driving by on I-64 or 220, come downtown and visit. The everything and then some hardware store is only one of the surprises you'll fine. There's Michael's across the street with some of the best pizza in the state. An actual French restaurant. There is a coffee shop that just happens to be the only coffee grinder museum in the country. There's the Highlands Arts and Crafts store, a store devoted to all things honey and maple syrup, and the downtown really is build over an underground creek with very real secret tunnels.

Very nice store, Lots of Nice Christmas Decor and Hardware. I wish I had had more time to look around. The two women up front as the Cashier's were kinda nice.
