Love it here. I drive up from. Jackson as often as I can to shop and play tabletop games. Staff is great, selection is great, and they’re even willing to special order things for you if they don’t have it. And so much room for activities!

My wife and I could not be happier with finding an amazing game store like this. We just got back into MTG and staff have been able to sit down with us to help give insight on how to play and even those attending events have offered to help rebuild our decks to better match other players at the events we attend.

The staff is great, the community is very supportive, and you can truly see the love that folks have for the place.

It is also a really big space and I really enjoy their card search system.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would. First time in the store ever and game night of some sort was going on (mtg i think)... i immediately love it. Gentlmen at the counter were happy to help. I mentioned looking for a specific core book i couldn't find, and the guy brought me the improved version at a lower price and basically showed me the ropes. Super friendly and accepting. Amazing❤

Great shop with friendly staff. My favorite part is the amount of hobby supplies they have. They carry monument hobbies, AK, Gamers Grass, Reaper and more including high quality oils for miniature painting. If you're looking for hobby supplies in the Lansing Area this is your one stop shop.

I've been attending the commander night every Monday for about 2 months and am blown away by this store! Friendly staff, good environment of regulars, decent prices on all MTG products, and above all else a fantastic owner. Dan is a standup guy and absolutely deserves the success he has achieved with AFK. I go here for all of my MTG needs and will continue to do so as long as I live in the area.

Very friendly staff. Will take the time to answer any questions you have as well as go over upcoming events they are hosting both for new and old players for the different games. Large space. Clean facility. Support your local game stores.

Seems low a nice little game shop. Friendly, helpful employees, good gaming space and plenty of folks to play with on their event nights.

Afk Games is a great place. The staff are super-friendly, work hard, have a great sense of humor and warm;the environment is wonderful and family friendly. Beyond this, AFK has great products. If your into board games, magic or role playing games, they have tons of products; are very knowledgeable about them. The owner has worked extremely hard to make AFK games a wonderful place for the community. Go check it out. Highly recommend.

Amazing store. Huge selection of Games Workshop stuff!

Their best feature is that they have a very large space for gaming and heavily support table-top wargaming of several types. They have a very good selection of paints, brushes, terrain and storage options. In particular, they often have a good selection of foam insert kits - best I've seen in any store in Michigan. Their prices are decent - about equal to any brick and mortar store. Their selection of RPG books isn't too extensive but it is worth a look as there's usually a few interesting books. They don't have a large selection of board games but it's not terrible. One nice feature is that they often have one or two games opened and set up on tables so that you can try it before you buy it. Overall, it's a good place to visit if you're looking for gaming at a store with others or if you play tabletop miniatures wargames. If your focus is more RPG and board games, they still have enough to make it worth an occasional look.

Open clean space. Lots of different things to enjoy. Polite staff. Not as many mtg singles and packs as I expected. Great play area though.

Great friendly local game shop. Not always the BIGGEST selection, but we usually find a few good things ☺

A box of sleeves i got were a few short and that was a bummer. However the staff here was so awesome about finding me replacements to make my deck whole without me needing to buy a new box.

Awesome place to nerd out. Everyone is really friendly and inclusive even if you have little experience with the games they are playing. I have so much fun every time I go. Staff are very helpful and know their stuff. And if they don't have the item you're looking for, they order it for you. 10/10 would recommend!

AFK Games is a great example of what a FLGS (friendly local game store) should be. The store caters to physical games rather than digital games, so along the lines of Warhammer, Magic, board games and RPG games of all kinds. There's a good selection of merchandise, but more importantly the community is what makes the store a fun place to hang out, rather than just shop. There are different games run every night of the week, with regular events on weekends (tournaments and such). The staff is friendly, and the clientele is welcoming.

This place is amazing, very clean, great events STELLAR, FRIENDLY, and HELPFUL employees that are very knowledgeable about games, painting, etc. I would highly recommend coming to watch a couple games if interested or to check this place out for any of your hobbying needs.

Excellent magic card and warhammer selection. A good amount of board games. Good paint selection, especially citadel paint. Great play space for magic and warhammer. I like the staff a lot, they're always down to talk about your hobby with you. My favorite place to play magic.
