This store has been around for 100 years for a reason. It values customer service above all else. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I love that this store is a community favorite and is involved so intimately in all the events and fundraisers going on in Alamo. It truly cares about the members of its community.

This is a great place to get all your building and plumbing supplies. There is always someone to help you and they even load them to your truck. What you save in big chain stores is not worth the frustration of trying to get someone to help you.

This was the only place we that had oil base paint in stock. Apparently there is a shortage. But we were lucky to find this place. Great service

Great small town hardware store experience, just not in a small town setting. If you can't find it there, you're going to have a hard time finding it anywhere.

I desperately needed to replace soffit and fascia on my home. Because of their outstanding reputation, I called Kautsch True Value, and they did not disappoint. They went above and beyond to make sure I had EXACTLY what I needed to get the job done. Although the original has been on for YEARS, they were able to match it--I say, miraculously! Johnny Kautsch is definitely a materials expert, and I am definitely an extremely happy customer!
