Page & Palette

Really nice literary, French Quarter vibe in this downtown. This independent bookstore captures the culture of its surroundings through the cafe, complete with people talking about their writing groups and book clubs, a bar (!) in the back that has large working spaces too and regulars sitting up at the bar talking with the bartender, and, of course, a very nice bookstore, complete with a children's section that was not lacking. This is a jewel on the Gulf!

Great place, just luck we landed there. I heard the live music in the Bar at the back of the store and I was in love.

Bartender and staff were excellent, the patrons were a mix of locals and travelers, everyone was friendly. Listened to Brad Lawley and Mike White do a great job of covering all sorts of songs. Told my wife I wasn’t leaving till they were done. Walked out with a happy family, smile on my face, and a bag of great books!!

Cute bookstore and Cafe in the heart of Fairhope. Tons of books and gift ideas for anyone. Didn't visit the Cafe but it looked nice and clean.

Awesome local bookstore/ice cream shop/ coffee shop/ bar. YES all in one place. Very cool book store with neat other things, nice bar selection. An author was speaking the night we happened upon this place.

Very artsy atmosphere and coffee is very good. When we were there, two gentlemen were playing guitar inside and it was lovely to listen to the live guitar sound while sipping on your coffee.

Great book store/bar/coffee shop. We went on New year's Eve, 2020 and listened to a 4 piece band ( 🎸 acoustic guitar, Bass and mandaline). It would have been too much if there was a drummer so this was nice. We also got coffee a few times here in this trip. Great time. Also the water in the bathroom was always hot thanks to the instantaneous hot water heater in the bathroom.

The cutest book store with the nicest employees! They are always so kind and helpful and can special order books for you! There’s nothing like meandering through a bookstore and Page and Palette is great for doing just that.

Great local book store. Worth the drive from Pensacola, Mobile, or your house. Friendly, very knowledgeable, bookish staff. Super clean restrooms are a bonus.

As a librarian and avid reader this is seriously the BEST bookstore I’ve experienced. I love how they promote local authors. The sticky notes on books with handwritten recommendations from people who read it are an especially nice touch. I love how it is organized. The children’s room picks most all my fav children literature. And to top it off the workers are extremely adept at recommending books because they know each book in the store.

There’s an attached ice cream and coffee shop and another place to eat with live music in the evenings.
It doesn’t get better than this!

Super cool atmosphere. Very comfortable and inviting. There's the Bookstore, a coffee shop, and a bar plus there's always some AMAZING music going on from musicians from all over.

Beautiful place to sit down drink coffee and do work. Very nice cozy spot to relax and daydream! Awesome food and coffee as well.

I absolutely love the Page & Palette! I always find what I need whether it's the newest novels, puzzles, cards, a neat reading light, or the variety of occasion cards! Enjoying a tasty cup of coffee or tea is also a special tteat at their Latte Da Coffee Shop! Having a cocktail at the Book Cellar should not be missed. Listening to guest authors is always a wonderful experience with a chat and book signing! I always meet friendly people, who share in the delight of the featured author! The Page & Palette in fabulous Fairhope is my favorite place!

A gem in downtown Fairhope. Great events and a fairly good selection of books. I like the coffee cafe and the bar in back.

The bar has Chimay beer, but it would be nice if it stocked Weihenstephaner real German bier, which is available to buy in the area. This is such a tasty beer with a really nice buzz. My favorite type of that brand is Weihenstephaner Kristallweissbier. Piggly Wiggly stocks it, so ABC must have it.

I would like to see a Page and Palette t shirt available for sale, as well as coffee mugs. Also a Page and Palette snow globe for the holidays. I love those. Hold a contest at the community college art department for the t shirt graphic. So many places have awful t shirts. It's worth getting a nice graphic for your t shirt.

Why not offer twenty free tap beers for every local writer who lives in Fairhope FIRST, and THEN gets a big book deal and is published, provided they give free lectures/signings at P&P?

This book store is really great. They have reading books, as well as the book cellar, an ice cream counter, a bar AND live music! All this and a book signing to boot! The employees are very helpful and it is very down-home here. Definitely a great place to take a break and read!

Page and Palette is a place I could probably spend hours if my time and budget allowed. It's a perfect small town bookstore with the café side for those who want to sit a little longer. They have a wonderful selection of titles and a whole area for children's books. Even their home decor items are so thoughtful! Wonderful local place.

Great coffee drinks and comfortable setting. Love the different venues there, that appeal to readers who want a good book, from the adjoining bookstore, while enjoying a great cup of coffee.

Dropping by to say this place is such a vibe! The lady who manages it is sweet and tries to greet every customer! She literally throws smiles at you soon as you walk through the door! The tall young black man who works here is so refreshing and dresses very nice for work! The bar in the back is my favorite! I can grab a book then go sit in the back and read for a minute and have wine if I like! They have live bands and book signings as well! Such a cute idea! Stop by! Reading is exercise for the brain! Audible/Kindle can not beat the experience of an actual book or book store! Too many nice attributes to miss out on!
