We bought something here. Beautiful. We found the owner pragmatic and he gave clear explanations. The item arrived in EU as agreed. Tell them what you need exactly and they may show you some treasures. It's our experience, though. Carpetology is deep and profound - we were in almost all the shops in town and everyone has something different to say. Easier if you have something specific in mind.

Very clear explanation. Though I am not an expert of fabric, I could understand the differences of the items thanks for that. Since there are too many beautiful carpets, it’s really difficult to select the best one. That is the problem!!

Some very cool silky carpets that change colour depending on the perspective. Great experience! Clearly, they are expensive.

Продавец выдал синтетический ковёр за смесь шёлк-хлопок. Позже, на фабрике в самарканде нам сказали, что таких ковров в принципе не бывает. Единственный способ проверить шёлк это или синтетика - это поджечь нитку из ковра. При этом продавцы могут поджигать бахрому, которая действительно сделана из шёлка и говорить, что весь ковёр шёлковый. Шёлковая нить горит и пахнет как волосы, а синтетика воняет горелкой пластмассой. Собственно, не советую покупать что-либо в данном магазине, там почти наверняка обманут. Лучше приезжайте на фабрику ковров в самарканде.
P.s. Совсем маленький шёлковый коврик ручной работы стоит 670$.

The seller passed off the synthetic carpet as a silk-cotton blend. Later, at the factory in Samarkand, we were told that such carpets do not exist in principle. The only way to check if it's silk or synthetic is to set fire to a thread from the carpet. At the same time, sellers can set fire to the fringe, which is really made of silk and say that the entire carpet is silk. The silk thread burns and smells like hair, and the synthetics stink like a plastic burner. Actually, I do not advise buying anything in this store, they will almost certainly be deceived. It is better to come to the carpet factory in Samarkand.
