We stayed here for a night doing our Ha Giang Loop and it was amazing. The host is very friendly and super attentive to your needs. The food was EXCELLENT, everything was homemade by the very owner, and you could tell it was prepared with love and dedication.

The bungalow is clean, with a mosquito net, and the shower has hot water with really good pressure.

The surroundings are beautiful, with breathtaking views around you and you will sleep hearing the sound of nature 😍

A great place to stay on the loop. This is a small village with many, many home stays. I think your experience here will depend a lot on the other guests. On some nights it will be a quiet dinner with the family, on other nights it could be a bit of a loud party. We had fun.

Make sure you book a bungalow.

Amazing place if your doing the Ha giang loop. The food is amazing and all organically grown on the farm they own. The family are so kind and welcoming, a very homley feel.

A great homestay. The hosts were hospitable and friendly. The grandma wants to share the culture by donning their traditional "cham dao" minority costumes.
Comfort home cooked food.
Clean cosy room with clean bedsheets and attached toilet!
Good ambience and quiet environment.
Strongly recommended!

We stayed for 1 night at Hong Thu Homestay. We are both vegetarian and the food was wonderful, as was the corn wine. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the host was absolutely lovely. 10/10

Enjoyed my stay here. Facilities are fantastic for the location. Hosts are warm and friendly. Dinner with the family was an absolute joy. I was travelling by myself so they asked me to join them on the table instead of the other groups.

This was our first stay on the 5 days we did the loop and it was THE BEST! The family is so nice, the kids so cheeky but awesome and the dinner very delicious! We tried a few other homestays on the way but no one was as authentic as this one where everyone sits together and eat! They love cucumbers =) and will show you the gardens as well. We can highly recommend this place either if you're starting the loop or ending it, or both! We will for sure come back here! The area is also nice for some trekking with nice landscape, waterfall and roads. Hope to see you soon again!

Very friendly staff, authentic experience, one of the best family dinners we had on the loop. We enjoyed the double room which gave us some privacy, mattress was comfy. The area is very nice to go for walks and does not feel touristy. Nearby there is a great herbal bath spot. The only thing that could be improved would be offering free or paid water refills to reduce plastic trash.

A lovely homestay - comfortable villa, delicious dinner and breakfast (with happy water!!) and such kind hosts.

We opted for the private villa, which was clean and had a bug net with the bed. You could tell the hosts care about their guests and are curious to learn about them. They were a young couple around our age (25-30ish) and just fun to talk to. It was a highlight of our loop ride to be able to meet and talk with them. There are other homestay options in the area but I highly recommend this one.

Thank you Hong Thu!

The best experience we had on our seven day ride in the north of Vietnam, staying in a traditional house & family home. We arrived late and the hosts were so accommodating. We joined them for a delicious home cooked fresh family meal along with the parents. They spokes good English, so communication was easy and fascinating to hear from them about their way of life. Truly magical - would highly recommend

The perfect place to stay on your road! The hosting family is soooo nice and Thu also speaks English and she took a good care of us. The bed in our room was super comfortable and we had a really good night sleep, there is also a muskitos net. There are shared bathrooms and showers outside the room - very clean!!! they provides towels.
We ate delicious dinner with the family and a good basic breakfast (eggs, fruits, pancake with honey and black coffee).
Good WIFI.
Recommended!

Great place, beautiful location between the local houses. This is a real homestay, you life with the people. The owners are really friendly and there children are lovely. We were there on Saturday and they invited friends over so we had dinner, played games, drank rice wine with the people of the village. If you want to get to know the people and culture this is the best place to stay. Best experience I had in a homestay.

Nice place to support the local area. You have bathroom, nice bed - everything you need. Wi-fi as well! The breakfast is okay (don't chose noodles as they are instant)

Room for 80.000d per person, double room 160.000d.
Simple but comfortable.
Hot water.
Clean.

Dinner for 100.000d (little expensive) but is big buffet and you are with family.
Breakfast for 40.000d, good price with pancakes, eggs and tea or coffee. Very tasty.

Absolute fantastic hospitality. We sat with Thu for dinner and had karaoke after. Was a very nice stay. Beds were alright and had a mosquito net included. It can be a bit noisy at night due to the animals in the area so if you have sleeping earplugs I'd use them. Other than that it was a great experience.

If you visit here say hi to Thu for me.

When I come back to the northern loop, I will certainly visit Hong Thu to see the family again. They are very welcoming and hospitable. The home is clean and in a great location near the mountains. If you want a friendly homestay in a proper northern Vietnamese village, you should stay here!

Great homestay with a wonderful family. Fantastic dinner. Beautiful traditional-style clay house. Come here if you want an authentic experience staying in a Dau village. The herbal bath is also really great, especially during the cold winter months 👌

Hong Thu and her family are such gracious and sweet hosts! A group of three, including myself, stayed at her homestay and had an amazing time. It was the best homestay of our entire trip up north. Her sons are always playing outside and are very funny. Hong Thu made us a delicious traditional dinner of vegetable, meat, and rice (it included plenty of rice wine!). The Dao community here is a sight to see; beautiful gardens, animals roaming around, and butterfly’s everywhere. I recommend staying, I only wish I could have stayed another night and given Hong Thu some flowers for her generous hospitality!
