Beautiful place to explore. The scenery is amazing!
You’re hiking for about an hour, so bring some sun screen and enough water. I’d also recommend hiking boots if you want to explore the off road trills. The eye itself is easily accessible though.
There’s also a souvenir shop with decent prices and plenty of stops for a bite or a drink.
Don’t forget your swimming clothes if you want to take a dip!

A beautiful and peacful spot with dreamy water colours. We walked up the road and hiked back through the forest with some nice views. We arrived at 9:00 and there was no ticket guy nor any other visitors so we had the place to ourselves.

If you like hiking don’t pay money to enter the pedestrian side walk. It’s disappointing and there is plenty of garbage. so instead after the entrance there is a parking and then entrance of a hike from the other side take left after the parking and then left after few minutes to stay on the path by the lake, honestly it is amazing take about 40-50 min in the mountain and it is just stunning. Note that swimming is not allowed anymore which is sad, but the main reason is because they built access road for cars and pedestrians all the way to the river and restaurants and they charge 50 lek to enter, so disappointing feels like the place lost the nature beauty of it and it is now a touristic place with rules and garbage!!

Really nice place to visit when you are in southern Albania. It’s accessible from all ages. There is a 20 minute walk but the pedestrian area is paved.

Such a beautiful place.
Nature is truly magnificent
Loved how clean it was
Entrance was 0.50€ the day we visited (end of July 2023) , but other people who visited on June 2022 didn’t pay .
There is a sign that forbids people to swim but they do it either way! Water is very cold but worth a small swim
The walk to get to the Blue Eye takes about 15 minutes and I recommend you wear sunscreen and a hat , keep water with you at all times !!

5 stars for Nature and just how beautiful it is and also for the maintenance (pavement and roads for walking, cycling)!

The route via Google maps was simple, we arrived by 2wheeler and got parking as well (it's paid). We crossed the river on a well paved road, it was very clean and well maintained. Somewhere on the way you have a small detour that gives you a view of the blue eye (it's good for a quick photo/selfie). Closer to the blue eye you can start seeing the crowds and the path is a dirt path and narrow.

There is a viewing platform to stand right above the blue eye and admire the blue colors, it is truly mesmerising. The water looked very cool and it was tempting to soak our feet (but we didnt). There were 2 guards who were trying their best to prevent people from taking a dive in the blue eye but the second they were gone, the people dove anyway which is really sad (if you are reading this, pl respect the rules and don't dive in; it is so beautiful and pristine I felt sad to see the state of it).

There is a souvenir shop and a restaurant too, we didn't buy or try the food suspecting higher costs.

(I agree that the influx of tourist and ignorance of the No swimming signs don't make for a 5star experience but I feel that every visitor needs to be responsible and follow the rules and if possible discourage others who jump in)

Beautiful nature with a stunning view on the blue eye. Quite a long distance from parking lot to the main spot (around 2km) especially when it’s hot outside but definitely worth it. Quite a lot of tourists even in September. Try to be here early in the day to avoid the crowds.

Incredibly beautiful nature. The water is magical, clean and clear. The colors are enchanting. A must visit. This place needs a higher level of protection. Tourists do not respect the prohibitions on entering the water.

My favourite place in all of Albania. Absolutely stunning and beautifully it was a bit crowded, but still worth visiting.
But be prepared to walk a bit, it’s quite far from the parking lot.

We visited Blue Eye by car on the way from Saranda, parked in the parking lot and walked a few minutes. Access is seamless. Impressions from the visited reserve very positive. It is worth coming here. There is a ban on bathing, but despite this, people splash in the water. Entrance ticket price 50 LEK per person

Stunning, fresh and so pretty.
I didn’t expect the real thing to be as spectacular in reality as it was in the photos but it is.
The parking was interesting, we were not allowed to park our car further up and had to walk the full 2km to the site (or pay €5 each for a scooter)
Still, the walk was very pleasant and the area very pretty.

Worth the hype. Wear a swimsuit as you're hiking up, it will feel amazing to cool off. Though the water is certainly the coldest you'll probably swim in. The hike itself is pretty easy and the road renovated. The views are outstanding for sure.

It was so beautiful. I haven't seen such clear and pretty water in a long time. I would highly recommend it if you are going to Albania or on the islands of greece and can get the ferry over for the day! Learning the history of the blue eye was great as prior I knew very little about the country

In the southern side of Albania, and it is Worth to visit. The road was very good not much curves.
However, we paid 50 L/ person to enter and no service was there such as cafe and toilet.

Great spot for all the nature lovers. We were there at a rainy day and still it was showing it’s whole beauty. Water is cold , the blue eye is incredible. You can buy souvenirs , drink some coffee. Bring swimming shoes.

A scenic place that gives you positive energy. This blue lagoon of fresh spring water that comes from the interior of the earth is beautiful. The temperature of the water is around 10 degrees, a little dip gives energy.. :)
We rented scooters down by the car park, this was a good investment in well over 40 degrees heat. The walk from the car park is about 3 km. Renting a scooter for one hour cost 2,000 Lek per person. hour.

What an amazing place, truly a miracle in this world. The water is really cold tho.. There is also a hiking path around the lagoon with beautiful views of the mountains, but it is a challenging walk and the path is slippery, intermediate level .

Incredible. One of the prettiest hikes I’ve ever done, and I’ve been to 11 countries. You can’t beat the views for how short of a commitment this is. Make sure to bring swimming gear for the blue eye. It’s cold but wonderful.

Beautiful water and nature. Get there before 930am to beat the heat and crowds.

It’s a 2km walk from the parking lot on a paved road. You can rent a scooter if you like. Give yourself at least an hour total. You are not allowed to swim anymore so it’s a quick visit.

I personally like blue eye Theth in the north better and recommend to try and see both if you can!

It was a really quick visit as we arrived there 6.50pm, closing time is 8pm but you can still enter and stay even after 8.
We walked (it wasn't bad as some ppl say) we jumped and we walked back (water FREEZING)
