St. John the Baptist's Monastery

This is named “ Manastiri i Shën Prodhromit” by locals and it is in the middle of the trees. With an amazing view of Voskopoja and with a water well that the locals believe it is “saint water” that some of them fill the bottles and take it even in USA or Canada with them. It’s a place to go.

When I went there I was the only one around. This place was so calming and beautiful I could sit and enjoy the vibe for hours. I am not sure if it is always that empty but I really enjoyed it. You are not supposed to take pictures inside the church so unfortunately can’t share that part of the experience.

Fantastic place, when the Good can rest in pace.

1632 este anul construcției acestei mănăstiri armânesti ,obiectiv istoric cultural important al Moskopole.Aici nu se mai țin slujbe bisericești dar de ziua hramului bisericii care este Sf.Ioan botezătorul se oficiază slujba religioasă ortodoxă !

Molto bello, peccato che nel corso degli anni sono stati fatti interventi di restauro e conservazione non proprio adeguati. Comunque molto suggestivo e rilassante..... Da visitare sicuramente se si viene dalle parti di Korcia

1380m sopra il livello del mare,un posto stupendo,l’unica cosa che dovete fare è informarvi quando è aperto,noi siamo andati ma il monastero era chiuso.
